Legiocustodes
Well ... its now time for the second phase of my Assassin project.... this time we have two Callidus Assassins; again one originates from 1995 and one from 2016. I do love a Callidus Assassin, these shape-shifting killers are able to infiltrate deep behind enemy lines in order to close down the distance to their prey and then brutally slay them with their nasty looking C'Tan phase swords. The newer model is very dynamic and it really looks like the female assassin is swooping in to kill her prey... however I have to admit that it does lack a certain degree definition in some areas which makes it a little less enjoyable to paint. On the other hand I would say that the older metal model is far better sculpted and with its more prominent definition it was much more fun to paint! Again these two models show the scale creep between the 1995 original and its successor. There are a load more photos and information on my blog at: http://classicastartes.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/1995-callidus-assassin-vs-2016-callidus.html I'm really enjoying watching this project progress...next up will be some Eversors! Interrogator Stobz
On this one I prefer the new mini, but your comments on the level of detail strike true. Plastic is still far from perfect... :D bs
