Just a heads-up that a lot of your units have shifted Battlefield Roles over in the GW web store. You may want to go check it out to make a consolidated list, but so far:

  • Azrael is back to HQ

  • ravenwing command squad back to HQ

  • no scouts in dark angels troop section

  • darkshroud is heavy support

They better not take scouts away. That doesn't even make sense

I don't think that this means that scouts will be gone.

It just means that there are DA specific miniatures, and Space Marine general miniatures, possibly in different sections of the webshop.

Or maybe scouts will be back to elite slots :D

I wouldn't worry about that.  The Scouts and most, (but not all) other 'generic' models were removed from all of the other faction sites, too (e.g. BA, SW, GK).  So, I'm sure you'll have DA Scouts in your section of the Index, they just will be purchased from the generic Space Marine section of the web store, since they don't have any faction-specific bits.

In the new edition, Characters generally have more Wounds in the new Warhammer 40,000

He also gives a reroll to hit to all nearby units. examples given where hell blasters and devastators.

They combine the speed of Assault Squads, the durability of units like Bikes and the ability to drop in from space mid-battle, AND they pack a fair combat punch as they make a charge. Oh, and those guns are basically hand held heavy bolters (albeit, with a much reduced range).

Gravis seems to be a light terminator armor. higher toughness but no invuln. In fact, all Primaris may be T5, i havent seen the data sheet for anyone else but this may be pointing in that direction Wrong info. Im hoping we get Primaris Azrael and Belial, theyd be some tough cookies, especially with those stat lines. I am pretty excited for the intercessor squad. They look like they can pack  good punch. I hope this is a clue as to how much our assault squads can move.

At least the Gravis isn't the new Terminators armour. That means we still have some candy to be patient about.

@ Sheol: trying to sell your opinions as hard facts is getting tiresome man. Just because you don't like a model doesn't mean no one should be able to use them. I join Arkley's opinion, getting acces to the Centurions would be awesome. I don't care that devastators are better, some variations is always better than copy- paste lists.

I for one can't wait to get acces to Land Speeders Storms, no more hiking for my scouts!

Hi all. Did you see this? In shooting phase, a model can fire all weapons.

If they don't change rules, our veterans can take 2 combi-weapons. That will be 4/2 plasma per model. And in 8 ed combi-weapons aren't one use only.

That's assuming that they don't keep them as separate army lists in the same book. Of orks and tyranids can be in the same book without sharing units then there's nothing saying that we'll get storms or stalkers or thunder fires or whatever. It'd be nice, but who knows.

As an aside, that's a nice thing about playing a DIY successor...I also think centurions look awful and since I'm making my own stuff up anyways I can come up with any inane reason I want as to why they never got them or refuse to use them!

Thanks for the info (though I feel the pain of New Zealander's every time I click on one of those links).

You missed a couple of things though:

  • Land Speeder Vengeance is now Fast Attack
  • Land Speeder Dark Shroud is now Heavy Support
  • Space Marine Bike Squad is now Fast Attack (not available in the past)

No scouts is weird. The only thing I can think of is that Jonson's return results in a legion resurgence and scouts are no longer necessary. But this would require even more DA/Legion specific units.

The new dreadnought has been revealed. I am not disappointed at all, the actually went for an updated Legged Dumpster, the dreadnought most of us adore. It gives me high hopes for what they're going to do for their terminators.

True, there is a chance that we won't have acces to SM-goodies, but let's hope GW realises that they can sell us their expensives kit if they just write some extra words that allows us acces. I mean, they already have special guys like Sternguard and Tyrannid-vets, why should they have the monopoly of AA-Rhino's or Land speeders with room for scouts?

Yeah definitely Blades of Vengeance.  It says there they are part of the Ultima founding, so they are one of the new all Primaris chapters.

Their chapter icon is the same as one of the campaign marking transfers that is on the big Dark Angels transfer sheet.

Green armour, bone pads, red weapons and a kick-ass name? Ooh, be still my gentle heart, the wallet does not agree with your desires.

Edit: Damn Ultra's, their Lt's recieve some awesome markings while the others get a boring skull on the forehead.

I get them having the red thirst, curse of the wulfen, etc... but how exactly do they get DA chapter tactics that come from millennia of carefully cultured behavior, belief, and highly specialized training.

Furthermore, they would not be considered part of the legion, so would be monitored, but never included.

Detachments have been leaked. Check them out below. There are detachments for Fast Attack (RW), Elite (DW), and Heavy (Devestator) among other things.

Also sorry if linking to another board is a no no

Well like with other chapters, I'm sure they'll send some officers and veterans over to lead the new chapter. These could be upgraded marines, keeping the chapter all Primaris. They will then indoctrinate them into the inner circle as time goes on.
