Yeah, that was the defining feature of the Mortis. Right now it's just a more expensive dreadnought with a few different weapon options.

I'm glad they readded the CML for contemptor and mortis, just a shame a relic contemptor can't have it (it's SO much better for the extra points, even as a dakkadread).  My contemptor has it modelled (not magnetized), so I'll have to use the contemptor mortis rules when I want to field him, or cut off the CML and magnetize it (on a finished model that just feels wrong).

 

My only beef is that it's 50 points. Even a knight gets a better missile launcher for less. 45 points for the stormspear which is heavy 3 instead of heavy 2.

Given that fliers are much easier to hit - the "+1 vs fliers" (in place of the old Skyfire rule) is not as necessary as it used to be.

 

When the Mortis first appeared back in late 3e with Forgeworld, I don't think it had any special anti-flyer ability.
