No Bangles? I loved being team Dangle Bangle with Skink's DA in doubles matches.

DC - Death company

Golden shower- null deployment full deep strike tactic used with nipplewing

Honour guard - traditional BA name for a command squad, now company veterans.

Psycho Tycho - death company Tycho/Tycho the lost

If you have RAS why not JAS?

Because it harkens back to 3rd/4th edition when they were referred to as Assault marines (regular) and Veteran Assault Marines. The options NOT to equip jump packs didn't exist. So it was RAS (regular) and VAS (veteran).

Sure, but now there are regular assault marines and jump assault marines as there has been since 5th edition. For the last several years the distinction has been relevant, no?

Do we really want Bangles added? We're not a rigid bracelet, a shop that sells hair bobbles nor an American pop rock band.

Obvious acronym is obvious, but I'll add it (along with DCD which I'll admit I ummed and arred about)

Golden Shower isn't one I'm familiar with. Worth adding it along with Steel Rain?

HG can be added although I personally prefer Dante's Beat Squad (really loved 2nd edition)

Never heard Psycho Tycho - you're making them up now, right? ;)

I pref Infernobaal for the Tri-flamer Baal.

I personally use the term Baal-b-que

Never heard infernobaal before. Is it common where you are?

As for Baal-b-que, I do love a good pun :happy.:

Lasplas as an alternative name for the Lascannons, Twin plasmagun, Razorback.

Knew I'd forgot one!

Whatever floats your boat. Just understand that certain phrases may predate other phrases. So why some acronym isn't include may be because the orginal is much older than certain abilities.

Besides, I have honestly never heard anyone make a specific distinction for Jump Assault Marines. Usually I hear the other way but not in acronym form.

Feel free to use as many letters as you please when differentiating between regular and jump pack equipped assault marines. I was merely suggesting something I've seen used elsewhere since it seemed relevant to the topic. Not trying to discuss boats or past editions, as I'm aware this hobby has been around for some time and many things have carried forward through the decades and editions despite their relevance.

Rofl @ "Golden shower." Oh man.

-Tacti-Q = a tactical squad with max flamer weapons (Heavy flamer, flamer, + combi-flamer or hand flamed on sgt)

...I don't know if that is as widely used by others as I do

-Mephy = Mephiston

More for 30k:

-Big E; Emps = Emperor

-Big S; Sangy; The Angel= Sanguinius

I'd add AssCans for assault cannons.

Also, my gaming group here and back east has always called Mephiston either Meph, Mephy, or Vampire Jesus (my personal fav).

Oh, and Lemmy for Lemartes, Corbs for Corbulo.

And Dante is "Big Daddy D-man, Chapter Master of the Blood Angels, Lord of the Angelic Host, wielder of the Axe Mortalis, Slayer of Greater Daemons, Commander of the Red Fleet, Distributor of the Emeperor's Wrath, First of his name, Lord Protector of Baal and all her tributaries, he of the mighty golden nipples of doom, the Doom of Horus' heirs, Savior of Armageddon, first among peers, Kicker of Much Ass and 'Dan' to his friends."

...if you know, you're not into the whole, like, brevity, thing.
