dis'ere boyz was rekruited frum good ol'greenskins from dat old land o magik 'n' choppa dat was blown up by da power of da waaagh!. Bekuz deys was floatin' 'n spheez all alone iz put some shootas on em 'n' give'em a puspos: ta fight da meaniest 'ummiez da galaxy haz 'n' stom'em into bitz.

 

butz i gotz me teef stolen by some git in a snot race so da waaagh! be buildin' slow n steady, all sneaky like.

 

when i wuz on dis planet Angelos i gots me mob into da lootin 'n' fightin' game o' gorkamorka to get me sum shiny teef for me waaagh! so herez sum pikturz of dem Tuff Boyz mob

dis un be Grimskul, da slaver. ees a bit slow but packs a mean punch coz he be da gunna of Mousey

 

dis un be Razgob, da spanner in charge of Mousey, da buggy

Dis git ere be Snotstikk. Eez not part of da band but he be helpin' me on da big waaagh! when time comez.

ere be me with me pet Buggit, sum boyz and da banna git. Iz still av ta paint me armur and da boyz but well, time iz short when youz a mean warboss.

 

Datz all o me boyz' pikz, all o'da rest be in da rok keepin it in proppa orky shape and buildin more trukkz 'n' such, so deys don't come today.

My only suggestion would be toning down the dialect a little. ;) Just use a little bit for flavor!

Update time!

 

Not a big one but an important one for my mob.

 

I made a list of the things i have to work on for my conversions to ask you guys what you think that i need to add to my army in order to make it as balanced as possible.

 

So far I have 103 power on these conversionss:

 

1 Warboss

1 Weirdboy

1 Runtherder

1 Nob with banner

10 Kommandos

30 boyz with shootas

30 boyz with choppas and sluggas

30 Gretchins

6 Bacon boyz (nob bikers)

3 Bugies

5 Trukks

 

I also have an old ork with an axe that i don´t know how to use, but i'd like to use as a character.

 

what do you goys think i am missing on this army? big guns? kanz?

In the few games of 8th I've played so far, big guns and mek gunz are some solid shooting. They're also fairly easy to convert.

 

Otherwise kanz and a Deff Dread look to be super fun, and are definitely a blast to assemble/ convert. You also end up with a lot of extra bits.

I advanced on the big guns, now I have a lobba, a kannon and a zzapgun.
But i am still waiting for the green stuff and the chain to do the harness of the wolves to the gun mounts, as well as some plasticard to do more orky decoration like misbolted plates and such.

 

On the meantime, I primed them to start painting the details as soon as I can.

Hello Boyz! Happy Orktober 1st!

 

Since this is ork month I wanted to post some of the updates on my mob. Everything is still wip because they have lots of work to be done!

 

 

The whole lotta guyz i'm working on at the moment

 

 

 

First as always, my warboss.

I still have to finish basecoating his cape, but I have no idea on what colours to use. any ideas?

I still have to build something for his kustom shoota and freehand the banner and some checkers.

 

 

Some shoota boys and the 'eavy shoota boy.

 

I still have to paint/fix some checkers on them, finish the tartans and fix some cuts on the hands without weapons.

 

 

The first night grot of like 80 XD

I'm quite happy with this conversion. Simple yet nice. But it does make think that i am going to need a LOT of pistols :p

 

 

Lastly some.... thing...

I built it to use it as a bike on gorkamorka but i might end up using it as a buggy on normal 40k.

 

Thats it boyz, I hope you like how my army is going.

I was feeling a bit sad today so I built this Big Mek with power klaw for my Waaagh!
I will try to finish painting my warboss, nob with banner and boyz this weekend before orktober ends.

I finally finished the Warboss Yesterday but I couldn't complete my personal challenge to finish all my xenos files entries on Orktober, as I still have to finish the 5 boys and the banner holder :/

 

Oh well, at least I have a monster of a warboss

I cant tell from the picture, but does the back prong stick back? Would make it hard to fit boyz around the back.

nopes, its in a 45-ish° angle, so it doesn't stick out as much.

 

Maybe the other thing that helps is that I have my boyz on 32mm bases (as the aos orruks are on 32mm too, i think they might do the change for 40k orks in the near future) and my grots on 25mm. And my grots are night gobbos, so they are quite small :p

I am priming the rest of the boys, the nobs and the mek but haven't painted anything because i was bussy basing those minis.

 

I never tought it was so time consuming, considering its just a bunch of cork, sand and one or two bits on the floor @.@

Hey guys!

 

I wanted to share that got to play my first two games of 8th yesterday and won both of them :P

 

I would like to say that it was because of my huge tactical prowess as i've been blessed by mork but i'd be as a liar as a grot xD

 

Both games were against a really tough iron hands marine army (made of 2 vanguard detachments)that had these units:

- A captain with a boltgun

- a c beamer techmarine

- 4 servitors with 2 plasma cannons

- 2 contemptor mortis dreads with double kheres

- a normal dread with missile launcher and heavy plasma cannon

- 2 landspeeders with heavy bolter and assault cannon

- a land raider with lascannons, heavy bolter and storm bolter

- 2 5man sniper scouts squads

 

In my armylist i had:(a batallion detachment xD)

- my warboss with big choppa

- a kff big mek with power klaw

- a weirdboy with da jump

- A 11 man kommando squad with 2 burnas and a nob with big choppa

- a nob with waaagh banner

- a runtherd with squig

- 3 mobs of 11 boys with shootas, heavy shoota and nob with big choppa

- 3 mobs of 20 grots

- 3 separated units of 1 buggy with rack of rokkits

- 2 kannons

- 1 zzapgun

- 1 lobba

- 3 trukks with heavy shoota

 

We were playing the random mission cards and the first game we had to capture and held two objectives for one full round in order to win. The catch was that we had to deploy our armies on 3 waves.

I deployed the grot wave first alongside my kff mek, weirdboy, runtherd and da big guns. So I used da jump on a squad of 20 grots and moved them towards the objective. My friend had no idea i was going to do that (as common sense would dictate to use it on boys) so he tried as much as he could to eliminate that unit. On the end three grots survived the morale phase and won me the game on the first round xD

 

The second game was as close as could be. We had to search for an ammo cache hidden on one of six objectives and when i found it i tried to move as many grots and boys as i could in order to keep it under my control.

In the end of the fifth turn i managed to get a hold of it with two lucky grots after many many waves of beakie shooting and i only killed like 7 scouts and 4 servitors xD

 

Fun games anyway. 8th makes me remember 4th ed somehow...

Now that I'm back in my home I was thinking that I need some power klaws nobs in my army because trying to open up dreads with big choppas was quite hard.

So I started building 2 with plasticard and it's been quite difficult!

 

anyone knows any tips for building stuff on plasticard that could share please?

 

Also, would you suggest using power klaws on dakka boys nobs' ? or is it better to use them on just a couple of elite units (like biker nobs or regular nobs on a trukk)?

I've been running power klaws in my shoota mobs, and a unit of 6 nobs with big choppas. I find the one klaw in the boyz adds a little "oomph", while the sheer number of attacks in the nobz unit make the big choppa a worthwhile tank-killa.
