The weird thing to me is that the LoC is on a 40mm. Both the DI and typhus are on 50s

Indeed, that seems quite weird.

Though, the painting handle says it only goes up to 40mm but then shows the LoC from DI as an example. Maybe he was meant to be on a 40mm afterall? Who knows

Not a fan of all the spikes sticking out of the top, now I understand why people say the new stuff looks cartoonish and childlike.

I honestly think that's mostly a painting issue. The GW Deathguard colorscheme just doesn't look great imo.

Agreed, the scheme they use is terrible but people are free to have an opinion, I will keep enjoying my cartoonish & childlike toy soldiers, they can focus on their serious business grown up toy soldiers.

They were, and I was. I got them anyway because I wanted all the unique models. Worth it as my OCD/completionistic tendencies was happy.

I resisted the temptation to pick up the Plague Brethren purely because I have never liked the idea or look of Meltaguns, if the 3rd one had a different weapon then I likely would have over paid for the extra sculpts too. 

 

Used the money to buy myself a second Drone instead.

I pointed out on the N&R thread, the plaguespewer blightlord doesn't have a melee weapon.

 

I also like that if I buy this, I have enough combi bolters and axes to fill out an axe squad and a sword squad. GW intended that, not everyone wants flails.

Ehhh considering the price of the box it isn't that bad plus it won't be that hard to convert him to have a weapon I'll probably give him a blade coming out of his fist as it would suit his stance :D Edited November 26, 2017 by Plaguecaster
