Note: Apologies for not putting together a fancy page for this. I had the urge to do this before coming to bed.

Fear is a potent weapon in war, and fear of the unknown especially so. A soldier may fear the horrors of war, yet find some release in being able to resist the foe with gun and blade. To be assailed by a foe you cannot see, a foe who can strike down anyone, anywhere, is something that most men's courage cannot withstand.

The Fuzylars embody the art of unseen death. Their first recorded use comes from the Supernovas Chapter, but it is possible similar formations exist in other Chapters. They are typically recruited and trained from potential Reivers, as like the Fuzylars these warriors recognise the value of terror tactics. However, the Fuzylars focus their craft into long-range death, assassinating key figures from afar and then vanishing into the shadows. They often deploy behind enemy lines using grav-chutes, allowing them to slip by patrols and fortifications without being detected by the distinctive trails of jump packs or drop pods. Once on the ground, they will act as spies and saboteurs, priming krak charges at key positions to cause maximum carnage.

When the time to strike arrives, the Fuzylars unleash fire from carefully chosen vantage points. As explosions destroy vital resources and sever lines of communication, key political and military figures fall dead by unseen hands. As the enemy struggles to make sense of the chaos without their leaders and instruments of order, the Astartes army will smash into their position, giving the Fuzylars ample opportunity to join the fray from the flank, exfiltrate the warzone or, more often, to push deeper behind enemy lines.

Once the dust has settled and the enemy believes themselves safe, the Fuzylars will come out of hiding and begin their mission anew, bringing fresh terror to those who dared stand against the Emperor's servants.
