Mourning Angels Primaris - Blood Angels Successor Chapter

Hi guys and gals,

First of all, a bit of background on me and the army before the juicy stuff, I'm a long time lurker, first time poster, and permanent procrastinator when it comes to hobby! So I thought that I'd actually get of off my behind and start an army that I actually fully paint to high (for me at least) standard, in a reasonable timescale no less. As luck would have it, over Christmas I managed to get my hands on the Primaris half of Dark Imperium, so that decided which army. As such these'll be acting as an auxiliary force to my pre-existing BA successor chapter, the Mourning Angels.

The idea of the chapter is that they're an unofficial Second Founding chapter, formed of those who upon learning of Sanguinius' death wept and swore a bloody oath of vengeance against the servants of the Ruinous Powers. They believe that only through complete annihilation of the traitor legions can Sanguinius be avenged. As such they are prone to full on brutal attacks, with a disdain for stealth and anything that renders them unable to gain the satisfaction of watching the enemy fall before their very feet. So overall shear awesome firepower!

Now then, after that little blurb, onto the important part, the models in the army so far (None of which are even primed; I really am very good at putting things off):

And that's it for now. The plan is to have black power armour, red weapon casings with the chapter badge being the BA one but with gold/yellow wings and a red blood drop. I may add some other details; I was thinking of giving them a red right arm like the dusk raiders scheme. I'm going to try post on here at least once a week, if not more, to me going.

Interested to see how these come on. The only slight worry is that they would look very similar to the death company. Hopefully the decals and spot colours will make sure they wont get mistaken :-)
