25mm bases for Neophytes?

any disadvantage to putting neophytes on 25mm bases instead of 32mm ? 

 

planning to kit bash some extra Imperial Guard with Templar Boltguns 

 

I'm going to put the Initiates on 32mm with bolt pistol and chainswords

 

thoughts?

Pretty sure they are still supposed to be on 25mm anyway.

I've started putting mine on 32mm not sure if they are supposed to or not but they look better in my opinion.

Did some quick research and they are still coming with 25mm in the box. But base size issues are basically no longer a thing and the BRB doesn't mention anything about them, so you'd probably be ok just going with 32

Not really much of an issue nowadays, since base restrictions have been fixed with the coming of 8th edition... 7th might have had an issue with it, with literally having to rely base to base contact with units to determine the number of units capable of fighting in a melee, but it's slightly better now with consolidation and distance from enemy base...

 

But I kept my Neophytes on 25mm bases just because they look cool right next to 32mm Space Marines:

 

 

Makes the Marines much bigger looking and much more imposing when side by side to smaller based Neophytes
