New Knight Castellan Revealed!

I really hope the Knight Preceptor turns out to be a real thing, and that it is essentially a non-freeblade version a knight with the lasweapon. As a household player, I don't really have any drive to get a Freeblade... I had been wondering how I would go about making my Knight Senechal for my Terryn household... Picked up a Forgeworld Terryn upgrade kit, but most if not all of those bits won't fit the new Castellan... they will fit this guy though... Icing on the cake would be if I could assemble him with the new weapon and it still be legal too...

EDIT: So, bigger better picture. And some words. Perhpas most interesting was: "This Freeblade champion is a fitting centrepiece for any Imperial Knights army, or indeed – any Imperial army. He won’t be the first of the new Imperial Knights we see, though. Keep an eye out for more Imperial Knights news very soon…"

Wow, those wepons sound really cool!

Not a fan of the walking pilot, though. He looks like he is taking a walk down street with his lunch box. I prefer the grace that radiates from the FW one.

So where are the pictures of the Valiant and the smaller dudes?

Hinting at a 2 week release?

EDIT: Reinhard, you beat me to the line with your edit. We both must just be mashing F5 refresh XD

Debating picking up a box of Scions on the way home from work to make some pilots. Do you think all Knights will get a disembarked pilot ability/thingy, or is it probably Hehktur’s special lil thing?

Also, my thoughts on the release schedule. I’m hoping for one big one, reveal this weekend, preorder on the 2nd and full release on the 9th. It’ll give GW the whole rest of June to dedicate to AoS 2, and it’ll line up nicely with the Warhammer Citadel/Warhammer Weekend in Texas, which I’ll be attending. If they’re out by then and on display I’ll snap some pics for you guys.

That pilot looks like a beast. Love how thick he is. Not some skinny, underfed Imperial Guard Officer. This guys eats good and could punch someone into the dirt if he wanted to.

I think it's well established he's abundantly stocked with sandwiches at this point :)

Stratagem: Break for lunch - 3cp.

Use if Ser Hekhtur is on the field and carrying his lunchbox.

Roll a D3 to determine what manner of Sandwich is contained within:

3 - Tuna Mayo. Ser Hekhtor becomes satisfyingly smug for the remainder of the battle.

2 - Cheese. No effect, cheese is nutritious but unknightly.

1 - Marmite. Ser Hekhtor immediately takes 2D6 mortal wounds.

It's a little OP, but with some tweaking, I think we're on to something ladies and gents...

 Fantastic!

I feel like Ser Hekhtur is the main character in a tragedy. He's the breaker of chains and liberator of thousands but the one chain he could never break was the one binding him to gluttony

Well, I've just placed an order for an Acheron and a Castigator, 2 Crusaders and I'll be picking up at least one of the new Castellans on release along with 2 of the Armigers so that I can have 2 of each, warglaive and helliger! I'm super excited! I'll probably be picking up a Canis Rex model as well.

Still crossing my fingers that the helliger is an anti hoard machine!

I was thinking, and since the thread hasn't been hammered. in. several. hours. I figured what the heck, why not.

Hekthur comes not only with some new parts unique to him, Canis' Rex' left arm is clearly the Knight Warden kit's thunderstrike gauntlet (though i think they called it by another name in the RS article) so... he's gonna be at least 5 sprues? All 3 of the original paladin kit's sprues are indispensable to building the knight itself, so unless they redo some sprues, this gonna be fairly meaty kit with a fair ammount of bits left over when you're done.

Hope it won't affect his price too much...
