War of Sigmar (https://war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/2972) writes that their eview of the codex will be up next sturday at 00.01.

Edit by bob : review of the codex + giant robot next Saturday 00:01

The people over there seem to be pretty "in the know" so that should just about guarantee that we get the preview tomorrow (hopefully)

sounds like someone has a review copy, which they wouldn't get unless preorders are going up then?

I was thinking, and since the thread hasn't been hammered. in. several. hours. I figured what the heck, why not.

Hekthur comes not only with some new parts unique to him, Canis' Rex' left arm is clearly the Knight Warden kit's thunderstrike gauntlet (though i think they called it by another name in the RS article) so... he's gonna be at least 5 sprues? All 3 of the original paladin kit's sprues are indispensable to building the knight itself, so unless they redo some sprues, this gonna be fairly meaty kit with a fair ammount of bits left over when you're done.

Hope it won't affect his price too much...

I wouldn't be surprised if his gauntlet is new or slightly different and on the sprue with the rest (or if they just put a standard copy of the Thunderstrike on his sprue, but that'd seem like a missed opportunity).

I'm pretty sure the gauntlet (seen in the picture) is exactly the same. Granted i can only see it from one angle, but it looks exactly like mine did. Also, the sprue would be getting rather crowded if its gotta share it with the canis bit, the las weapon, two pilots etc.

In some ways it makes sense for them to include the warden sprue as it contains the carapace weapons. Interestingly it might means we can run a knight with lascutter and avenger.

Although personally I'd prefer if we got another mechanicus style archeotech weapon with a similar theme to the lascutter we have already seen. It already seems to have a more advanced laser based minor weapon system instead of a stubber/melta.

Hmmm I wonder if the carapace weapons will be more advanced too?

It might be an attempt to cover things for Renegades pre Chapter approved or an FAQ.

If you have parity between both sides regarding twin weapons, those of us with Renegade Knights can then at least use our models as 'counts as' Imperials without too much messing around, this given several of us will be running Twin Avengers and the like.

It's probably not this, but I'm an eternal optimist and really want to believe we haven't been forgotten...

Loyalist scum err, Valiant Imperial Knight Pilot:

"I wish I could have two of these Avengers, I never even use this stupid Chainsword and..."

It does looks a bit funny, but not in a bad way.

Also did anyone else notice the different leg plating?

EDIT: Makes me wonder if it was a little hasty of me to get forgebane armigers, if the full release of them is gonna have different styles of plating, that is perhaps more suited to imperial rather than mechanicum ones? Might be over thinking things...

It looks like the most recent auto-cannons for Onagers and Knights Icarus.

I mean sort of, but at least the onager autocannons doesn't have that odd-looking muzzle. Also, surely it can't just be one autocannon, can it? That's a pretty tame amount of firepower for one arm..

Don't worry. There will be enough bit selling sites or eBay where you can buy the additional weapons, plates and heads. Just wait for the hype to die down a bit. ;)
