Kindleflame dry paint question

Recommended Posts

Basically this. Is kindleflame supposed to look like this?

When I use it to drybrush, I get something akin to dust on the rest of the model, which I have to dust off asap or else it will just stick there. Maybe I got a defective bottle? Other dry paints dont look like that in my pots.

I already did, thanks. It bugs me that I've been using this thing for over a year now. I didnt know any better, it was my first dry paint pot ever. Since I'm new to the hobby, I just thought any dry paint should look like that, until I got another one a week ago.

It's supposed to have a consistency a bit like dessert mousse. You can get a better idea in this youtube video.

So whilst they should be be dry and a bit gelatinous/wibbly, they should not be gritty and have lumps in them that end up on your models. (At least, not when they're new...)

This was the response from GW.

Thank you for contacting us!

This pot of KindleFlame looks as it should, as it is made with a gelatinous medium instead of a liquid one. It will work the same as intended, it just doesn't look very pretty.

I hope this helps!
