mstephens.300
I am building my own home-brew regiment and I have named their home world Kaeroth. I Love the Kreig style and history, but the money for Kreig is uh well not available lol. I also like the versatility of the Cadian forces so this regiment is the "lovechild" of the two worlds. The regiments' home-world was disputed territory between the two forces, and neither force abdicated the planet so the civilization was a mixture of the two. The suicidal tendencies of Kreig military when it come to dying for the Emperor, but they also use the authorized abhumans like their Cadian ancestors. I've borrowed a template that I saw on here, I don't remember who is the originator so the credit belongs to them if they see it on here. I'll add the template soon. But tell me what you all think. WarriorFish
Welcome to the B&C :) Sounds like you have a plan for how you want to play, so I wouldn't worry about the lore needing to be done just yet. You could achieve the same in many different ways after all. Have you planned a colour scheme and got any models yet? mstephens.300
I do have models and I have been working on the scheme for a while now, but I am going with a bit of an urban scheme. It is black armor with grey cloth and a tiger stripe of the opposite color, grey w/ black stripe, and black with grey stripe. but I have the helmets and left shoulder pad colored red, or white depending on rank, and a red or white stripe depending on rank as well. For example the sergeant would have red pad and helmet with a white stripe on the helmet, and the veteran sergeant would have a white helmet and pad with a red stripe on the pad, all officers (in armor) would have both white with red stripe on both. I haven't thought about the scheme for the officers with the soft cover and long coat though. WarriorFish
Looks like you're very well organised, makes a big different to planning your army. Colour scheme looks good but you may wish to reconsider the red stripe. Though it looks good most people think of conscripts when they see a helmet stripe thanks to Cadia. Kinstryfe
Colour scheme is good, simple, and contrasting. Only advice I could give is to maybe add some other red as a stripe on a shoulder, or the belt, or lasgun or something if it's meant to be part of the colour scheme and not a rank or regiment marking. Best of luck building your regiment. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/345693-homebrew-regiment/#findComment-5044732 Share on other sites
