Ive been holding on to my bikes for like forever because I’ve always felt that painting white is such a misery. I begun working on Ravenwing instead but was never really feeling them.

Tonight I dove right into this with an intention of painting my khan, bikes and assault squad + other units in -white scars-

With that said. How do you guys think my first bike came out? Not finished at all but I’m gonna settle for this white, is the white ok?

Thank you for feedback. I really am not enjoying painting white but I will suck it up and hopefully get better in time.

I will settle for this white and quality for base troops. Some cleaning up to do but mostly done.

Whaaaat, yes do this but a lot more!

Maaaybe a Land Raider?!

you think the white armour is ok? Been having stress-related syndroms regarding this aging project about painting white.

Of course a landraider or two!

I've just started trying to get the hang of white, and I thought black was tricky. I'm still in the experiments stage, but I've come across a couple of methods which you might find useful. They're both reasonably quick.

Thin layers can't be emphasised enough, and I think if an airbrush ever had a place, painting white is probably it. Not that I have one.

Thank you for your input @NiceGuyAdi yes black is a walk in the park in comparison! Ive found a way that suites me with painting white;

-Corax White spray

-touch up with white scar

-1:10 drakenhof nightshade/lahman medium wash entire model

-drybrush praxeti white (or whatever its called)

Fast and ok result!

After wash:

After one go of drybrush:

I think that's what's causing the fuzz, at least that's what happens here is SE United States.

An alternative I used to do was to stand at the door frame, spray direction toward the outside and turn the tray with one hand.  Then put the tray in front of a box fan blowing outside.  This method kept the "stink" out of the house.  Frankly, it's a crazy plan and only works for 1-2 models at a time ... BUT it worked when I just *had* to get stuff primed.

I wouldn't recommend it really as it is simply better not to spray on humid days.

Naturally, the alternative is hand priming

Ok this is it, im going with this. Im going to challenge myself with accepting that what is, thats how its going to be. The humidity still plauges the spraying.
