Apocalypton
The Ardent Crusade. A Black Templars player, lost in the warp since the Eye of Terror Campaign, has finally re-awoken with a desire to pick up the old crusade and expand it in these testing times. With the ETL over I've got a few models completed with a fair bit more on the to do list. Here are some pictures of my crusade so far... Honda
Outstanding work brother and welcome back to the Eternal Crusade! Â I like how you started out with a bang, great banner bearer and he certainly sets the tone for the rest of the crusade. Â Play on! Brother Christopher
Impressive miniatures. I'm enjoying the consistency and neatness of your colour scheme. The heat effect (I suppose that's that!) on the Contemptor's assault cannon barrels is an interesting touch. Great execution. Apocalypton
These look really good, the banner is a nice conversion and the golds and white are well painted.  Thanks, I got the inspiration from another post a while back. I think it turned out ok. If anyone's interested in what I used for the whites and golds, I used Balthasar Gold and then washed with Nuln Oil, Gehennas Gold for raised areas and the Auric Armour on top. For the white it was Celestra Grey x 2 and then White Scar x 3. All paints watered down to around 50/50 bar the Nuln Oil and the Auric Armour. The Auric I found was watery enough already.  Looking great. Love the pauldrons on the honor guard  Thanks, I think they're from the command squad set for the champion. I thought they'd make the HG stand out a bit better.  Impressive miniatures. I'm enjoying the consistency and neatness of your colour scheme. The heat effect (I suppose that's that!) on the Contemptor's assault cannon barrels is an interesting touch. Great execution.  Yeah I wanted to do something a bit different instead of leaving it silver. I followed a youtube video online that was basically a wet blend of Drakenhof Nightshade, Druchii Violet and Seraphim Sepia applied in that order. Bjorn Firewalker
Excellent work, overall. Company Ancient Why is he bearing what is obviously a Dark Angels standard? It was a witch that just happens to look like it might have been a Dark AngelSo your Templars killed an enemy psyker, decorated his corpse to look like the Dark Angels Chapter symbol, mounted the decorated corpse atop a Company or Chapter Ancient to raise your troops' morale and demoralize your enemies. That's HARD CORE. Dorn and the Emperor approve. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/350173-the-ardent-crusade/#findComment-5164781 Share on other sites
