If they are glued already then you have no choice but to dig them out. Otherwise extract them with a stronger magnet and drill a bit deeper, just buy 3x2mm magnets with your next order (unless it is a long time from now).

I bought a set of 5 drillbits (2mm to 6mm) for metal from a DIY store especially for my miniatures. No need for the powertool.

Actually I just rotate the drillbit with my fingers, that way I can't go too fast nor much too deep. I should buy a pin vice for the smaller drillbits I have (fingers hurt after drilling 6 x 1mm holes into each of my 12 knights :biggrin.: )

For larger, flatter pieces (e.g. wood frame or large plasticard) I use the very basic Bosch powertool, using drillbits with hexagonal basis.

well, I used rechargable hand drill :)

worked very well on the reaver shoulders, not so much on the arm so I sliced the top off with a hobbyknife and glued/greenstuffed 5 mm magnet in there.

so much better now than with 3mm magnets. even magnetising the power fist was a success.

did some mask taping before dinner. now a short rest after it and then some airbrushing.

I should have some progress pics later tonight.

Reavers are so much easier to build and paint than Warlords.

I might finish this one tomorrow.

Then comes the hard part.

Todays news made me think how will I go forward from here. The "new" reaver is so much better looking that I need couple of them for Mortis.

my warhounds are still a no show (5 days late) and that is maybe a good thing.

I might go back to my original idea of 3 warlords and 2 reavers for Mortis and make Atarus reaver and warhound heavy.

If I finish the reaver tomorrow and my package arrives then I just might start Atarus too.

You take a lot of Ibumax - whatever that is.

mild painkillers... :)

and not all are mine, I ask them from friends and family... the larger ones are stronger prescription painkillers those I take for my neck and back. that ibumax boosts the effect.

release the hounds!

does anyone have experience with vallejo liquid metallics? I have heard good things about them.

only downside is they are alcohol based and need synthetic brushes and own cleaner, but I have all those.

wanted to try the silver on panel trims for Atarus. one layer should be enough.

it does, I have done nothing today!

well I did some throwing practise with my darts today (3 hours)

oh, but I washed the warhound sprues and maybe I'll start building them tonight... or I could paint some panels trims for the reaver....

decisions, decisions....

Warhounds are lovely minis, you’ll have a blast with them I’m sure!

Can you check the feet of the Reaver? It think they are they othe4 way around...

I think he knows.

Seeing how many people have messed this up, including myself, I kinda wish the instructions I found here (too late) were pinned somewhere.
