The staircase looks like it was a lot of work... well done mate! :tu:

Also kudos on the work on the base, it really conveys the sense of scale. Maybe you want to consider repositioning the head though? It seems like he's looking at the sky instead of lower targets of lock on to. Unless of course it's intentional in which case ignore me! :)

Thanks!

Actually, the staircase took about 5 minutes to cut into shape and position. It is about 30x30x20mm (20mm is the thickness of the insulation foam I have), so basically cutting that, then slicing to obtain a triangle when viewed laterally, then simply cutting each level. I added two sustaining walls which are about 35x5x20mm on each side. I actually started with the sustaining walls, they are glued, the staircase not yet (easier for painting, no spraying there).

The head is magnetised, I have 2 looking down, 2 looking at the horizon (depends if the steel ball is a bit more up or down). It can be seen as looking at the warlord about to get his full attention, ignoring the poor guys crushed under the rubbles (maybe I'll add some :biggrin.: ).

Even better, if you can achieve that result with little effort. Although I think that it's your experience that makes it look easy - it would probably take me waaaay longer to achieve that result. :P

Good to hear about the head pose-ability. I have to tell you, that to me the Warhound looking down is a great pose, as if it's searching for the next lowly victim. But given that this is a game of Titans and the Warhound is (currently) the smallest, it makes sense to have him looking up too. :D

Thanks!

Continuing with the bases for the Reavers, work-in-progress still. After checking where the Reaver's feet would be I drew a line to ensure the ruins were aligned.

I liked it but I thought it could still be improved with some minimal efforts, so I added smaller ruins next to the left leg, think of them as surrounding an inner garden or courtyard, I made sure the added ruins were parallel / perpendicular to the ones I first put on the base

Epic ruins are really perfect for this.

In advance, a Merry Christmas to everyone, have a great evening, have fun and stay safe!

Hope you are all having a Merry Christmas

Slow day today thanks to too much eating and drinking yesterday evening :teehee:

So I am continuing with bases, still works-in-progress of course.

Here is the one for my last Reaver

until I buy more when the new one is released of course

I wanted something a bit more complex, not too tall, not obscuring the legs too much. The right leg about one floor above ground was a constraint as I needed something to support it. I started with the staircase, then the door, then some support to gauge the right angle for positioning a floor under the foot, then the floor and finally the various other bits.

Then I turned to my warlords' bases. I had already started on some but they had remained untouched since a long time already.

I started with this one, basically adding a bit to the rubble around the sunken structure, I used the Epic ruins leftovers from the previous bases. As this structure looks a bit industrial I thought it could be a good idea to add some industrial type flooring, this added 1mm in height to this half of the base and as a result my warlord's feet are now more stable.

Hmm, that one really tall pillar on that last Reaver base seems a bit out of place(it rases questions about how the Reaver steped up there with it in the way), and the flooring on the Warlord Titan looks way to big for this scale, and thus makes the Warlord and the surrounding rubble look smaller then it should.

Besides that it's all amazing work.

Thanks for the feedback.

I agree, the pillar should be more destroyed, or more toppled, it is indeed in the way and the Reaver would logically not raise its leg and foot very high.

For the flooring, I envisioned it as a rusted metallic floor, rather than concrete. I am planning to add debris over it, otherwise it is too "plain". I'll see how to improve that.

Thanks guys!

Is that arch also from old Epic terrain?

Yes, it is. It is part of a larger one, which I cut / broke / tore apart. I have quite a few and even a couple of untouched sprues somewhere, I'll try to find them and post a picture later.

I also continued basing my warlords. Except for the latest one I bought where I have no work done on the base yet, I had already started the other ones, so it is basically adding and improving. They are still work-in-progress, I need to add more debris and rubbles.

Here is the second one, with a plaza and a ruined building

Thanks guys!

I have added a little bit of details on the base with the green textured plastic, it was too plain to my taste. Hopefully, this should also help alleviate the concern RipOffProductions raised regarding the size balance between the flooring and the rubble and warlord. The underlying thinking for the flooring is to aim at having something similar to PSP or Pierced Steel Planking which was used to quickly build airfields during WWII.

The pipe elbow and the pipes come from GreenStuffWorld http://www.greenstuffworld.com/en/149-pipe-elbows where I get my plasticard supplies. The supports are simply the leftover sprues from the transparent round bases.

I also made an open "container" holding pipes. The pipes are from Q-Tips, the rest are from old plastic bases (the plastic parts joining the warmaster bases and old 40K round bases). Dimensions are a bit less than 40x20x20mm. I toyed with ideas for a crane too, nothing concrete yet.
