Do this means that Company Vets w/ jump are unchanged since they are not in the Codex?

Or would they go down 2pts as well?

They aren't listed in CA 2018, so they keep their index unit price. A further disincentive to build them (if you don't already have em) instead of vanguard vets.

If necessary, of course. Once the book is out feel free to contact GW *constructively* about any concerns/suggestions. Oversight, or otherwise, it is their intent for now that a niche unit pays extra for a weapon we hit without penalty on.

Not a Sky is falling comment, just a statement of fact.

I will withhold judgement until I’ve done a full analysis after the release. Based on what I’ve seem and heard so far, I won’t be purchasing it and will be writing to inform them that I will not be purchasing it. I suggest likewise.

And yet, I'll take any points reductons I can get, as my standard list got something along the lines of 100 points taken out of it. I can throw a cheap as bones Liutenent/ primaris liutenent in my firebase to give me some much needed extra re roles.

I'll pick it up for the new missions but vigilus is more appealing.

Problem there is that I haven't seen anything to suggest that there is any Blood Angels content in Vigilus, they don't seem to be involved at all.  On the plus side, maybe that means they'll play a large role in the next Campaign.

Also of note for Blood Angels, reviews are pointing out that the beta rules pertaining to deepstrike have not been made official.  They are not in this edition of Chapter Approved.

Oh I started my all primaris Emp Spears just before ADB announced he was writing a book on them. So I do have that also!

But I believe the intention was for all marines.

Hey all,

Hope everybody has had a killer summer / fall.

Looking more deeply at all the game changes over the last 9 months or so I think I missed some salad days for BA Jump Assault perhaps.

GW left some overcosted balance issues unresolved to be sure looking at the leaks. At least looking at Baal Pred and such.

That is what CA 2019 is for prolly? :teehee:

Or maybe if we all ask for Christmas, they will do a data card in WD next year. Since that is a thing soon it looks like...

Hehheh... Yeah don't hold your breath kid.

What jumps out at me is dreads and cheaper vets like everybody else here.

Welcome changes to leadership costs for the hero hammers.

Maybe I will kick the treads on that Land Raider list again.

I was loving my Libby Dread last spring, should be rocking the garage with that artisan halberd this winter too at some point.

I am very happy that DCDN are much more fairly costed. I will be dusting mine off to use with rest of my forces at some point for certain!

Unsure on the Fragioso, but likely to sit on shelf with the Baal Preds still.

Veteran marines going down 2 pts base is most most welcome. However we decide to use em.

Thinking the list I had kicking around with sternguard, command vets, and corbs etc in Rhinos/LR  with DN advancing on objectives is much much much more fairly costed now.

Off to scribble on something and come up with some working ideas...

Where did I stack those lists from the Index Days?

The old lady wouldn't chuck em right ??

:censored:

I'm beginning to agree with others that the point reductions are mainly there to make it easier to put together a brigade.

I really dont understand some of the point swings or such a small tweak rather.

Mort has hit on the Baal. It is such an iconic tank for us, and yet the AssBack is still better based on points.

Overall I'm thinking a solid C on the grade scale.

Blood Angels have a high likelihood to be in the next book, worse case the third. It's been heavily alluded to based off attendees reactions at the previous GW event that Dante will bet primarisized, which would make sense having Dante take lead in book 2 given he's the Regent of the Imperium Nihilus. Take it with a grain of salt, but it would make the most sense as there's no way anyone takes Guilliman's shine in the last book against Abaddon (potential other Primarch).

My only question is...do we get upgraded units with Dante...Primaris SG perhaps? >_>
