CA18 impact on Iron Hands

Just wanted to know if people think how CA18 impacted IH chapter tactics directly or indirectly.

I'm actually looking into fielding Redemptor and simple dreadnoughts as they are much cheaper now and so the benefit of our tactic is quite higher.

Your thoughts?

The points drop on Dreadnoughts is good. I'd much prefer them to be a bit better, but I'll take this as it means more Dreads on the table! If they could ignore the penalty for moving and shooting I'd be a lot happier.

They can, via stratagems. I'm going to switch my Air Wing Detachment out for a Vanguard of Dreadnoughts, I think.

That doesn't cut it for me, obviously. I know C:SM has rubbish Stratagems but that doesn't mean I like to squander my CPs :P

Would the Iron Hands stratagem be more appealing if they switched it from only affecting one vehicle to something like "all vehicles of this unit type" or would it still be too little reward?

That would be much better yes, it's quite lacklustre currently. C:SM issues aside there is quite a difference in Stratagems across the board, one CP can go far in some cases and in others hardly at all

I regularly run 4 dreads including a Culln counts as hq leviathan . With the points drop to redemptors they are much more appealing so I might use them more especially when facing hordes.
