Primaris and chainswords

All Intercessor Sergeants have the option to take a Chainsword. Also Reivers have Combat Blades which have literally the same rules as Chainswords so there's some modeling opportunity.

It's kinda weird that GW gave them silent knifes instead of loud chainswords anyway considering they already use "sonic" weaponry to confuse the enemies and suddenly chainswords out of nowhere would serve well their role as terror squad. I guess GW wasn't completely sure whether they wanted them to be silent assassins or a terror squad lol

Both, depending on what is needed at the time.

Silent assassins when they need to take out a target unobserved, and terror troops when they need to disorient someone after the battle is joined.

I found the power sword and chainsword bits from my betrayal at calth set (3 of each) so now I'm wonder how I should build my sargents...a free extra attack or pay for a little -ap

Mathhammer says Power swords are better but unless you are about min-maxing every detail and WYSIWYG just go with what you think looks cooler. ;)

I'm actually torn on that very question! Lol

Chainswords are so iconic, but I really like the way I paint powerswords, so I think it would be cool to have 3 more of those little spots of color in the army.

But on the other hand, I do like wysiswyg.
