GW Support for Kill Team?

Just to come in here and try to get some questions answered:

I am returning to 40k after a several month hiatus... and have always enjoyed the quick pace and variety of kill team games. I have been playing since 2013, and there has been so many versions of 40k skirmish games with our minis that I am confused which one is current and up to date with rules. Is it actively supported by GW? I mean theres been kill team, Necromunda, and Shadow Wars... but I have always preferred kill team since that uses base game rules and unit purchasing with points, then each model just becomes its own unit.

Thanks!

Kill team and necromunda are both still supported. Kill team has a new expansion coming out very soon, more stuff in the pipe, and seems to have good FLGS support, and some new models were just announced for necromunda. If you want to use models you already have Kill team is the way to go, the necromunda stuff can't really be used in 40k, but are beautiful models.

Kill team also doesn't...quite use the base rules. Things are largely similar; statlines and special abilities will very accurate to 40k, as will using points to build a force. But those point values, turn sequence as well as terrain are all distinct, and it adds up to a different game. It's still very similar to 40k, but is also very much it's own, separate game.
