Warhammer Community survey 15th April

...and naturally, it froze on me when I clicked 'done'.

Anyone else have that happen?

I've figured out what the problem was. When I reached the end of the survey and clicked on "Done" I noticed in the address bar that chrome blocked a script. It didn't show up before so you really have to go through the whole thing to see it. When I allowed said script it reloaded the whole survey. Yes I just did the whole thing three times now *sigh*

I asked for new classic marine models, buffing terminators extremely with no points increase (three wounds at least) and Primaris Terminators for Deathwing. Hopefully Christmas brings me some Terminators that become an A-lister instead of an F-lister army.

In all seriousness I did ask for a new Astartes Codex and an update to the narrative rules to use more elements from matched play.

Narrative would be better with more balance.

Also I said that single faction armies need some sort of incentive.

Asking for more specific models for a faction is quite selfish and will have no impact on GWs plans.

I feel like very specific requests will have the least chance of happening.

Well they obviously aren't going to fulfill all our wishes. It's there to give GW a feel in which direction they have to go. Specific requests help as much as general feedback for that.

So, I asked for:

My rule inquiry suggestion

New Primarchs

A new rule to make marines harder to kill

A Black Templar codex supplement

Plastics for Craftworld and updates from resin to plastic across the ranges

URIEL VENTRIS MODEL!

...and naturally, it froze on me when I clicked 'done'.

Anyone else have that happen?

happened to me too. I refreshed the frame (right click on it and select in Chrome) - and it said "thanks for participating blah blah" - but im not sure if it went through.

I definitely asked for the next round of Primaris Intercessors to have separate legs torsos and hip parts in the what would you like us to know part

Yea, I mentioned that aswell, in the question about assembling and painting models or in the question about sprues.

Also how I like the possibility to mix bits of different ranges to make your own personalized force of Marines or so.

In addition to that I mentioned all the talismans, tokens, honours, seals, tools, relics, medals and other stuff that dofferent ranges (Stormcasts, Marines, Dwarves, etc.) have, that can be easily used to make "your guys".

...and that that should be something to consider when cutting up CAD models or adding decorative bits to kits.

Generally I mentioned "Battlefleet Gothic" wherever I could.

(DO NOT WORRY, I mentioned Black Templars, Impwrial Army and other stuff we collectively gathered in other boxes.)

For the question on how to expand the Community page, I mentioned the idea of an official Wiki (similiar to ArenaNet's wiki for GW2). Lexicanum is sometimes to dry or too rigid, while the Wikia one has no citations and borders on fan-fiction sometimes.

Because they sit right at the source (and old sources aswell!).

They have the WH Community Team, all the Art for the WHC page or books, the Codex/Battletome Writers and the Black Library writers and editors at their disposal.

Of course it would need to be something that grows over time and not over night.

But imagine a Black Legion or Emperor's Spears Wiki Article written by A D-B himself!

Imagine Old Index Astartes Articles polished to new glory!

Imagine aaaaaall the official Warhammer Art collected in highest definition available! You want the old 2nd Edition Space Marine art? Here! You want the pic of Bjorn Slumbering in the Fang as a Wallpaper? Here!

Also: Proper Articles about the Authors, WHC workers, Ruleswriters and Artists.

The "wishlist" question I tried to stay on ONE thing (actually two) and that was more Primaris Releases (Melee, Terminators, SW specific units, whatever!) and 40k Leman Russ. Yes, egoistic. But I wanted to keep it personal.

For the last questions I praised the WH Community Team and that GW is trying to get the Community more and more involved these days.

The only fiascos I know about BT codex is the fact that they stayed a long time without an update after 4th edition, and then were rolled in 6th with the lore altered.

Obviously people would be a bit upset. But after a decade I think people will be happy with whatever attention they get. Last proper campaign we were in was gathering storm, and we were heavily involved and got no miniatures and underwhelming formations :/

I like playing Black Templars and 40K. And in all seriousness, BT do need their own codex. I know people who are tired of seeing marine releases will argue otherwise, but they are a faction that needs more room than they currently have to play properly. Their style deviates so much from any other Astartes faction. They're the only ones who don't get a psychic phase, and who should have oath or prayer rules to fill that gap. They also shun the Astartes codex openly as much, or more so, than the Space Wolves, so it makes no sense for them to be part of the Codex on those grounds either. Dark Angels have an entire book to themselves and they at least pay lip service to the Codex. If your argument is then, 'Well, Dark Angels have more special units and models.' I could draft you a reasonable list of enough BT units to fill the difference. Some that have been phased out, some that have been combined into current SM stuff. it isnt' that we don't or didn't have them, it's that they aren't used anymore, and could be remade quite easily.

I don't think we should throw shade at one another for what we asked for. If there are enough people asking for BT to get a codex, shouldn't we get it? If there aren't, we won't. It's as simple as that. But I'd pay good money to get my boys in black a book of their own, and it seems like plenty of others would too.

I'm not saying that I can't wait a year or a year and a half to get it. I'm not greedy. If they have Eldar models in the works, let's get those in customer's hands. But I dont' want my faction to keep getting the boots, so I'm speaking up. If not in 8th, let's see Templars in 9th. We're here.

Same with classic Marines. Don't waste assets. Put out the Primaris that have been designed. Get those to the customers who want them. But I brought up Classic marines in the survey because I'd like to keep getting updated rules for them going forward. Primaris have not replaced them for me, and I don't want GW to continue on under that assumption.

I'll be 100% honest and say that my wishlist was simple and short enough.  But we'll get to that in a sec- mk. II plastics and a Deimos pattern plastic (which was before I checked the community feed and kinda got my wish monkey-pawed)

Seriously, there's always been some good ideas floating around so I'm glad we still have an outlet dedicated to it rather than the onus being on individuals to e-mail in some distant unnamed inbox. I kinda was hoping the community might put up some more narrative mission content kinda like the old GW site did back in the early 00's.  Likewise, I suggested a wiki-too, much like the star wars holocron thing (heh, that's kinda cool I wasn't the only one).

Most of the suggestions were to that effect, but my wishlist was for more kill team and maybe some crossover support campaigns for events.  General wislisting went to another Heresy starter box, mk II armour, deimos plastics, the obligatory primaris utility cheesebox APC and bikes.

-keeps hearing the braying for BT and pops a few tylenol-
