Welcome to the event! I've gone ahead and logged this as a Lieutenant as per our PM conversation as an in-competition entry needs to have the CHARACTER keyword. From the parts list, perhaps you could make that a combi-plasma?

Thing is though, it's your model for your collection, so if you want to make a Company Veteran then go ahead - OOC entries still award the participation badge :smile.:

If you dont mind, I decided that I should keep this OOC. He is a company vet through and through and I dont want him to have a combi plasma. That said the model is ready.

Since he's a OOC model, I took the liberty of undercoating him yesterday, since I was in a hobby tantrum.

Np and he looks ace :)

He's telling quite a good story as everything is aligned nicely, in fact, he's easily earned you the participation badge :) Still time for another if you're up for it...

Inside the final three weeks folks, anymore vows to make?

I'm straight spent Jole. No inspiration on kitbashing right now. I'm painting an Errant I have to have finished by weeks end.

I'm supposed to have 2 more knights assembled and painted by the end of the month. We are having a "House Party" where everyone brings their knights and then we have a giant Apoc game with titans and knights. Think Titanicus, but actual sized models.

I am getting ready to kit bash a death company slam captain myself. I sent a message to Jolemai asking about validity of parts usage. Since I was going with the DC theme, I wanted to use the DC Chaplain legs/torso and possibly head, which I was concerned invalidates the entry. I guess worse off I can enter as an OOC entry.

Idea is a DC theme with lots of bone, skeletal jump pack, rib cage storm shield, thunder hammer with a giant skull for the bashy bit, etc.

I, Shanewatts, rise to the challenge of The Great Baalite Bake Off and vow to kitbash Captain Slamguinius on or before April 1st, 2019. Success will bring honour to the Blood Angels, whilst failure is not an option.

Sidenote : Will be an OOC entry

I really like how the shield and bolt pistol come together. The brass on the thunder hammer looks good too. Excellent conversion Jole! Definitely stepped up your game this time!

Cheers. The shield is affixed to the arm with green stuff; I've tried to mimic how the Angelus boltgun is attached to the forearm. It looks like a combat shield or an Ultramarine Suzerain imo. As for stepping up my game, I've had this idea for a while and it's the most converting on a model I've done to date - it's all thanks to this forum with the numerous tips and inspirations that I've been able to attempt it over the past year or two.

Really menacing with the skull motifs everywhere :ohmy.: and he's come together really well. I can't place most of the parts either; I guess they are from the AoS line(s)?

Congrats on a really cool model

First Techmarine entered and he's going to look pretty cool :happy.:

I'll be putting him down as an OCC entry as he falls foul of the parts restrictions (torso, legs, one arm from the same miniature), but that's not important; what is is having a truely unique model for your collection that will be a joy to paint* :tu:
