That's a very nice orange.

Thanks! It's standard Pro-Acryl "Orange" a little thin, but works well over white

Great colours! Vibrant colours work very well for Eldar.

Indeed, a nice counter to the grim dark imperials, I always think all xenos work well in vibrant colours

Noice. As a fellow orange elf painter, I'm gonna shout out underpainting orange with pink. It always looks way better than it ought.

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.

Ooh, cool, that might solve coverage issues, though I find pink covers poorly also - what pink do you use?

I've finished up the painting on the guardians, and in between painting some blood angels I've decided to get lhykhis on the table in my slow grow - here's progress so far, do you recognise the inspiration?

Army Painter Impish Rouge under Troll Slayer looks like this:

This is before any washes or highlights, just the two colors over wraithbone. I generally have to spend more time on the blue than the orange at this point, and I assure you it was not always thus.

I know what you mean about pink coverage... don't worry too much if it goes on a bit uneven when blocking it in; once the orange goes on there it smooths out and ends up looking quite luxurious with little effort.

Cheers,

The Good Doctor.

Spider phenix lord is spot on.

Really like the vibrant colour scheme on your guardian.

I also have 2 orange helmeted test guardians on my desk at the moment. My youngest daughter wanted something to paint and she wanted them pink, orange and blue, so they got pink armor, orange helmets and blue weapons. It's not too bad actually

That's a really nice orange also, I'll try it on the next model - do you airbrush?

So far I'm loving all the ork models in the Armageddon starter, which is unusual as I've never been this keen on orks before - I'm super keen on a Bad Moons speed freek list, my local store had an Armageddon battalion with deff koptas and buggies, something like £160 of models for £95, not a bad deal and a solid base. I hate having deffkoptas, so will look forward to using them against people!

Armageddon update time!

I saw the new trakk and loved it, the perfect addition to my bad moons speed freeks, so naturally it was the first model I put together from the set!

I initially painted this up in averland sunset for a more orangey colour like my other buggies, however I wasn't so happy with that and wanted the colder bright yellow more characteristic of bad moons - so after many coats of flash gitz yellow,  we have the below!
