Fajita Fan
Dude, I wish I didn't have 4 boxes of GW terrain, I think those are cheaper but I don't know England dollars off the top of my head. Interrogator Stobz
Does anyone have a link to the awesome epic scale FW HH tanks and infantry that are seen on many bases and as nu-epic armies? Fajita Fan
I search "Epic [X]" at Thingiverse.com to get mine. I reprinted my Pallas' because whoever scaled them had them almost twice as big as they should be. Interrogator Stobz
Thanks FF, seems Thingiverse is the answer to all our needs. Will look later on... Fajita Fan
You can order proxies from third party sites but they’re hard to find because they have to use gibberish names for things. Interrogator Stobz
Nice to know. Now to figure out how the Thingiverse system works... Fajita Fan
Thingiverse is really slow at times, when you find a model go to “collections” in another tab to see the other collection people have tagged that model in and look for more. A lot of WH stuff is given gibberish names on the site so that’s a good way to find more. My 8mm Custodes vehicles come from a user in French which I don’t speak, I found them from another link. 28mm Custodes can be found by searching “interstellar janitors.” “Download” gives you a zip file with all of the files in a design and a .txt file with the license. “Thing Files” has the direct links for each file of a design. I print things from the site at work, it can help to read the comments because other users will find mesh errors which can save time. There’s a Legio Metalica logo on there no one can open that’s never been fixed, I couldn’t get it to work either. I, as a matter of principle, don’t print whole models that can be purchased. You can find marines, dreadnoughts, tanks, etc. that appear 3D scanned but that’s all up to our own individual morals. My little Rhinos are an original file someone designed for Epic players who need more models not sold by GW that I scaled up. There’s a whole 28mm Warlord titan whose laser blasters I downloaded to scale/modify/simplify/print back before the plastic upgrades were announced. There have been AT scaled Acastus conversion beamers, Castigator guns, and Archeron flamer bits on there for months There’s lots of terrain out there like the chemical tanks and hangars I printed and painted. We’re trying to get a resin printer at work so I look forward to someday printing Battletech minis and better detailed upgrade pieces. Interrogator Stobz
Nice advice! I'm totally with you on the moral view; I buy official GW stuff but will use this to fill the gaps in their line.
