They just look hardened and uncaring. Like they are artisans at their job and their job is murdering xenos.

I'm glad they come across that way, it was quite a lot of trial and error with heads and arms and different bits

So I have the board now and I have been planning what's goign where and what I still need to paint. So far it's looking like this:

The red lines will be sandbag walls and there will be ruined half walls and small ruins doted around the board as well as some barbed wire. Where I have gaps on the board, I will fill them in with some intercessors but hopefully I don't completely fill the board with what I have so far.

What I need to paint for this board:

Squad of terminators/more assault cents, more inclined for the latter as I may take 3 more centurions in my Fun'n'fluff list

2 Vindicators

Finish the repulsor

And tidy some of the models up. The priority is the models that I need for Fun'nfluff, if I need to I can fill gaps with other models like dreadnoughts

My grain of salt is that instead if beig in the front the vindicators would be better in the back, they are support artillery and their height will obscure the minis behind

I put all the models out on the board again as a test and you're totally right, I'm actually going to have the Vindicators down the left had side in a column, the basically take up the entire of the strip

I've made a lot of progress. I have completed; 3 more centurions, 2 vinidcators and nearly finished Feirrios (just the axe head to do, I'm thinking of doing something similar to the Librarian

Board wise I'm got a lot of the colour down, still need to get some more colours in there, mostly details stuff like bronze in places and some buttons, panels and lights, a lot of stuff needs a wash especially the metalics and a whole load of dry brushing needs to be done. And I need to paint the sandbag parts. Here's progress shots so far:

I'm figuring out shades of grey (errr... not that association) right now for my Space Wolves...

Thanks dude, The white is celestra grey with Agrax wash in the recesses and the grey is Model Colour Black Grey with a Nuln oil wash and highlight/drybrush of dawnstone.

I got it done and I'm really proud of it. I came 3 points behind the 3rd overall winner and 2nd in Monster and Machines and there were some absolutely gorgeous entries. Here's some pictures of the board done:

Thanks Kolgrim! I manged to come 4th overall and 2nd on Monsters and Machines category, although I didn't win anything I'm cuffed beyond belief! :wub:

Hazard stripes! Because even when your job is to mow down the enemies of mankind, you need to stay safe. They also handily double up as squad markings:

And with that, that's my tournament list done and ready to go for Saturday. I have one last practice game tonight but I'm happy with the list as it has a healthy amount of fluffy units built around a narrative (The tournament is more fluff based that competitive based). With the Iron Hands suppliment I was worried that I was going to be "that guy" as even though I'm taking some of the weaker codex units and none of the big relics/warlord traits/ special they were still iron hands. Having played a few games with the list against a strong but not super competitive Ad Mech list, I'm happy that my list isn't too good or too harsh. Captain takes the Axe of Medusa and Merciless logic WL trait, it makes him terrifying with the genewrought might strat. Libby takes reforge and Objuration mechanicum (?) which I absolutely love as a power especially vs eldar and orks or even ad mech. depending on what I'm facing, I may also spend a CP and give the techmarine the haywire bolts as these are so useful to finish something off with his 2+ ballistic and hanging around with the Vindicators. My list is:

Captain with PAxe and Storm bolter (Warlord)

Librarian with FSword

Techmarine with PAxe

3xTac marine squads with Missle launchers

Ironclad, dual melee

Ven dread with TLas

3 Assault Cents, hurricane bolters and flamers

Land speeder with dual HB

3x Vindicators (Which with the tournament's special rules are counted as troops)

Stormhawk, Icarus, Assualt cannons and Typhoon missles

I had such a great weekend at Fun'n'Fluff and I loved every game and played some great players. I played: Necrons, Nids, Necrons, Black Legion and then Chaos Demons. My record was LWD on the first day with all 3 games coming down to the wire, the second day I won both games and really enjoyed myself. Overall I had LWDWW record which put me at 14th place out of 72 players, game wise and 7th place overall which comes down to: my game score, player score (what the opponent ranks their enjoyment of your game), how fluffy your list and the fluff you submitted, and the painting of your army. I'm insanely chuffed and can't wait until their next event
