Unfortunately I think that's it for my ETL this year, a few too many things going on so I can't be sure what time I'll get spare. Keep the updates coming comrades, a lot of good work being done recently which is great to see

@ Guard Daddy: Great to see the progress - love the mottos on the side of the vehicles... Especially the "third time lucky" one, is it related with an in-game experience?

@ WF: Well the Lord Commissar has a reported a completion! That should set an example for you lot! For Glory and the Emperor! Congrats WF, the Storm Troopers look the part - great reds there! Also, great bases - the light brown rim was a great idea - it really complements the bases and the minis. Personally I always stick to black - but I need to take the leap of faith at some point...

@ Lord Blackwood: Your rate of production would put many Forge Worlds to shame sir! :D

UPDATED TO THIS POINT!

@Jud Cottrell & @Captain Semper

Yes 3rd time lucky is unoffical motto of the Fallax Hammers - Check out my WIP thread - link in signature under post.

This is my attempt to build an infantry heavy list based on my own regiment called the Fallax Hammers.

Short version:

  • Urban combat specialist regiment
  • Based on fluff that was just a little footnote in 7th edition: In 927.M41 Daemons overrun the world of Fallax. The Hammeront IV regiment defending the civilian population are believed cut down to the last man. Fallax is lost. Unaware of the loss of the regiment the Departmento Munitorum send the regiment to join the liberation campaign on Prassium. Their failure to deploy means the dead regiment is charged with desertion and posthumously sentenced to death
  • My fluff is Fallax fought guerrilla war and defeated chaos forces and regiments from that world now known as Fallax Hammers (combination of world name and respectful nod to regiment that died trying to save them) - motto is 'Third time lucky' based on fact they have died twice (once to chaos and then on an administration technicality)
  • Infantry heavy
  • Infantry squads based on Orlock gangs from Necromunda game - have to prove themselves before they get official AM gear!
  • Veterans - Cadian Plastics

Now that's a great background man! If you feel like writing a short story - or the background of the regiment or a Character you may be interested in the Mark of the Liber. ;)

Up to you of course! :)

UPDATED TO THIS POINT!

Wip Update

ZulAbmob_o.jpg

Got the Armigers (baby knights) primed.

Some minor customisation done in the build to one crusader knight. I’m thinking the double barrel cannon will suffice for that relic ‘Thunder of Voltoris’ if I ever run that house, if not it still looks alright.

She stands! Started doing a proper base for the Porphyrion, I think the model deserves it, but before I get too carried away with the base, the model should get completed. I’m saving this one till last though, like a reward, after all other knights are done. Can’t wait.

Hopefully in the next week some colours can start getting put down.

Good luck Guardsmen, we would all love to see more completions coming sooner rather than later

Just a quick update, with only words lol since I'm busy!

The Elysian squad and Commander are both done barring highlights, and the Vulture is (mostly) based to a "3 color standard" lol.  I had a lot to do before the ATC to get the rest of my list ready, and these were only a small part of it, so I got them and everything else to the point where no one could complain, but they aren't done to my standards yet.  So that's next!

I do want to get people's opinions on something though.  The canopies do not fit very well onto the Vulture cockpit for whatever reason, so I am planning to just fill in the gaps and paint over them, instead of leaving the pilots visible.  I know what my preference is, but my question is what style would you yourselves prefer?  A gold interior to the glass, or something more greyish.

Another Squad of Infantry and thats Vow 1 Complete!

4 squads of infantry, 4 characters and a command squad all painted and based. The texture paint and washes are still drying on a few of models but these guys are all finished. Final pics below for proof.

Im ready to do Vow 2 straight away! I Mordian Glory, vow to raise a squad of 6 ogryns for the 50th Mordian Rifles and the Imperial Guard on or before September 1st, 2019. I will be converting these AoS Ogres to IG ogryns using parts I have left over from building my bullgryns :smile.:

Total Points of vow 2 is 144pts.

That's a great blue Pumpkin, really nice to see :tu: I think either colour would work but I'd be partial to a gold :)

Good to see some more Mordians there, I'll be interested in seeing your conversion work on the Ogres. Though I knew they are the "same thing", I didn't realise quite how much the models had in common until I got more familiar with them!

sorry ive been so quiet its almost end of month at work and thats always a really rough spot , ive finished half of the last squad of riflemen  on pace to try and knock out the last 5 riflemen tomorrow ,  then i  can focus on Yarrick and think about what my next vow is going to be.

Alright  finished up Yarrick today so this vow is done.

That is some great work Lord Blackwood and yet another vow too! I have been quiet as I've been busy working away... for some reason I got very confused and thought the ETL was ending on the 1st of August instead of September

On the positive side I'm nearly finished with my vow so I will see if I can squeeze in another small one :smile.:

Better to think the deadline is earlier rather than later (Like I did with he One More Day For Dorn event :( )

Looking forward to seeing the finished classic cadians and seeing the next vow ;)

So thanks to my confusion my vow is done a month early - and not last minute as I usually do :laugh.:

Here is the Cadian picture again:

Then the newly finished Sisters:

Finally a bonus picture of old and paint new schemes:

I have a busy August but I will see if I can find a small vow to squeeze in
