Ace, good luck with your Archon!

I'm worried at how much I'm enjoying painting nefarious xeno pirates. :laugh.:

It's a refreshing change of pace, though - I just wish I'd waited for ETL instead of painting the rest of my Drukhari over the winter.

But I've side-tracked myself - what I should be reporting is:

== VOW 2 COMPLETED! ==

I did change his head for a helmet in the end, left over from my Kabalite Warriors. I felt the original head didn't convey the right level of lofty disdain I wanted.

But in the spirit of doing thing right for the ETL, I painted his original head anyway - here's a WIP shot I took this morning, from just before I'd changed my mind about the Archon's head (or done any of the washes):

Good progress there TheLitheTiger - The Succubus loos excellent!

Now as regards the size of the pics, just go to your gallery, click on the picture you want, then right-click on the selected pic and a small menu that will ask you the size of the pic will emerge. You get the following options:

small (which is what you have above)

sml_gallery_160306_15525_1262700.jpg

Medium (usually preferred size)

Large:

Once you decide on the size of the pic, right click on it, and select "copy image" and then paste it in your post straight.

Hope this helps but let me know if you need further assistance. :smile.:

UPDATED TO THIS POINT!

No new dark eldar for a couple of weeks for me - I have to wait for payday again.

It'll only be another small vow when I do get paid, but I take the view it's basically guaranteed points - and even if it's not many points alone, the completion rate boost is still worth it.

In other words, the Kabal of the Shattered World will strike again - when they are perhaps least expected.

Hi! I just found out about this event and it seems like a great way to get some motivation for getting some of my backlog painted! Some of my vehicles have a bit of paint on them (what you see is it, the bottoms are still grey). Let me know if this is too much as to be against the rules. If so, I will re-prime over them, since it only took me about an hour of painting to get them to this point.

I, ShatteredRose, a loyal follower of the Laughing God, rise to the challenge of E TENEBRAE LUX to support the Aeldari in their noble cause. I vow to complete the painting of the following players of the Masque of the Shattered Rose on or before September 1st, 2019. Success will bring its own rewards and failure will make me the laughing stock of the other great masques and condemn me to wear the badge of the oathbreaker till years end.

EDIT: Total- 802 pts

@Captain Semper: Thanks! They aren't the easiest to paint for the points cost, but they sure do look great when they are done! These are the last minis I have to paint for my Harlequins, so I'm excited to see the whole force when they're finished!

Also, update time! It's been a busy week for me, especially with the holiday in the US, but I've found a bit of time for painting. I decided to start on my starweavers first since they are the largest models and will likely see the most play. I've gotten all of the hulls and weapons base-coated and made a start on some of the freehand on the ships themselves. I'm quite happy with how its looking so far, now to finish the rest of them! Then on to the players on top.

Wow! This is some true Harlequin style there! So black and white the main colours and red and gold the spot colours? Works! :tu:

Keep the updates coming in, this is a very promising project!

Thanks! :biggrin.: I have a few more colors in the scheme, namely yellow and green accents on the players, but that's really it! I've already done all of my troupe minis, so I've included a pair of them in my newest update pics.

I've sharpened up on the diamonds on the hull of the weavers and made a bit of progress on the players. I've started outlining the motley pattern on them. I forgot how much of a pain it was to get those lines even! I'll get a better pic of the players once I clean up that pattern a little bit. I really only have to finish the players, their weapons and do all of the gems, then I can call this group done! These should be the minis that take me the longest to finish, so I'm hoping the whole vow will be complete by the end of the month!

Update:

I'm calling these starweavers done! I can't seem to find the flight stand for the third one, hopefully it turns up soon. On to the characters next which I'm hoping to have them done by the end of next weekend. Do any of you other Aeldari have any progress to show us?
