Apocalypse movement trays

Basically, are you going to paint your movement trays for apocalypse? Also, would you accept 3D printed ones? I was thinking of 3D printing some but the print lines would be apparent if they weren't painted. Do you think it would matter?

Personally I'd prefer my trays based in line with the unit over the glossy transparent ones, luckily that means relatively cheap laser MDF is just as good as GW's clear plastic.

 

Whether I actually get round to this edition of Apocalypse is another matter.

I've thought about it, and I'm unlikely to paint any I get simply because I have so many armies and I wouldn't want to finish it, for example, to match my Guard and then end up using the same trays for my Harlies. I also wouldn't ever mind 3d printed/scratch built/mdf, since a tray is a tray, ya know?

I've got a battle company still on 25mm bases so I'm thinking of doing dedicated trays for them. I'd pick up some 3rd party MDF for that for sure.

If I didn't have anything else to paint I might, but they look good as is.  Lucky for me I use some bases from Warmachine and they fit the 32mm trays.  I want to try and just use the 32 and 40s.
