What would you like to see in plastic?

I'm hopeful that the Sisters' Deimos rhino will be easy to work with for the Heresy, but beyond that I really just want to second what the rest of the community has said: the basic Sicaran and an Assault squad, either MkII or MkV. With those kits, it'll be a lot easier to build a simple Heresy army for cheap. Or at least, as cheap as this hobby gets.

I'd like a squad of 10 marines for Mark II and Mark V armour to be honest. Maybe Mark VI as well, but you can already get that in a few kits for 40k.

As to vehicles.... Eh, it could be cool, but I'm not sure they'd do that. At least, not for a long time.

MK 2 marines, MK4 and MK3 assault marines. A command squad in both marks would be very welcome too including an apothecary, captain, standard bearer, a couple of swanky veterans. maybe a Deimos rhino / predator kit although that may be hard to justify considering plastic rhinos and predators are already available. I have a bunch of sicarans so selfishly I won't say those.

For Astartes, the different Mk's of armour that are either OoP or still in resin, with resin jump packs/breacher shields easily available, or moved into plastic as well, ideally, and Deimos variant vehicles to be integrated with current SM vehicles so it's a choice of what style you want to build them in (think old Rhino kit where you could choose which armour plate would be put on the front), the Contemptor in a kit where you can build it looking fairly basic or bling it up like a Venerable Dreadnought.

Would love to see the Solar Auxilia infantry and more of the Mechanicum stuff (troop choices, something like the BYO transport/tank they have would be ideal as a large multiple-choice kit) brought into plastic as well, since they're amazing sculpts and could even be used for 40k armies in an ideal world.

I was speaking to my local GW manager a few days ago about HH and it being the 3rd line for GW. He said that it was only the 3rd line because they have the IP on it, and that the 2nd factory was going to allow one factory to be pure 40k and the other pure AoS, nothing for FW.

He also mentioned that FW getting rid of a lot of stuff om last chance to buy was becuase GW wouldn't give them additional warehouse space and that it was FW who chose to remove all that stuff.

I have no idea how truthful it is, but I know he is a straight shooter with what he tells me. If so, I question is FW should do Made to Order stuff, where you accept you may be waiting a while for your order, but you can get the less popular stuff

My memory is not THAT good, but I'm 80% sure it was not on FW-only event and it was stated by guys from GW in relation to a question about future releases a la Calth/Prospero. Well, maybe 75% sure.

Ahh, I would bet money that means the Book and Boxed Games wont be doing anymore Calth/Prospero boxes, not so much no new plastic.

That matches up with what id heard tbh, the Horus Heresy is a mainline IP for Novels and games. not just the TT game. They have been surprisingly hostile to start collecting style boxes with existing HH plastics in the past for example :/ Still, i have hopes for HH to get repackaged into a proper specialist game and get a solid relaunch with boxed set after FW finishes rebirthing itself!

On one of the events last year they were asked about it and have categorically stated that there will be no more plastic kits for HH.

They never said that.

They said that no new plastic kits were in the works at that time (which was about a year ago), but they never said that there will never be plastic kits again.

Why bother about false statements and hyperbolistic marketing ?

FW can't keep up with the international market and GW just care about the new black.

With Titanicus, be minded that Horus Hersy isn't 28mm scale anymore.

That being said, I'm still looking to build my 4 calth/prospero boxes !

HH future is as grimdark and desperate as the setting itself..

As well as misleading announced additional content that never showed up..

Sorry for the inconvenient truth, bitbox is calling to kitbash my 30k.

A plastic MKIV Assault Squad (/ with bits for Destroyers) would possibly be the best value for money addition to the rang IMO. Although like everyone else, a plastic MKII Legion Tactical Squad would be music to my ears...

Realistically though, I doubt there will be many more, if any, plastic release for the Heresy. To me, the way AoD is viewed by GW reminds me a bit of how armies worked in 4th edition 40k. You got a few basic units in plastic and then everything else was metal. Same applies here, but with resin instead of chunks of white metal.
