Custodian Athiair
I like it, a lot. My sticking issue (other than my dislike for round head hammers) is the Darth Vader mask Aothaine, Adrax Agatone and Zebulon 3 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/358539-new-model-thoughts/ Share on other sites
Aothaine
Best looking primaris update yet. His pose is outstanding. I think who ever designed this model also designed the new Chaos Lord with the Thunder Hammer. They both are really dynamic and looking like they are ready to cause some pain. Henimann
Bias aside, probably the best looking single character model for the Primaris line so far. The changes to the greaves alone, and the baroque detailing, is more old-school SM than the tacticool style the recent Primaris releases have been. I could see myself swapping out the head and the hand flamer to something more 30k-esque, and using him as a Praetor/Centurion for my Heresy army. Captain_Krash
This may be the best looking Primaris model I've seen so far from GW...man I've loved Sallies since Armageddon, don't make me start up again. Krash I agree with you lol! I thought I had decided to go with an Imperial Fists successor. This model alone is making me question my decision. I love this model. NecroShadow
Oh god damn it. I thought I’d finally resisted the urge to paint loyalists till I finished my word bearers, then here comes along this guy. The model just speaks to my inner pyromaniac and I’m so annoyed it’s so good. Though saying this I’m now very tempted to maybe buy two once it’s out and do some chaos shenanigans with the second. SickSix
Hands down the best Primaris model so far. He looks great. Great pose, great modifications to the armor (mainly kneepads), and just enough bling. I am hoping that is his actually piston hammer and not just a generic hammer. Knight of the Raven
I'll never not see an Anomid when I look at Primaris with rebreathers and I find the brazier just doesn't belong with a Salamander despite their obsession with fire, but that's by far my favorite non-generic Primaris model.I'm really not keen on the sloped base. Remove it, and he's aiming down. Works well in a diorama where he's about to execute a traitor marine on his knees, but not as a model on his own. ruralguardhipcat
I'm going to echo the chorus that this is a great model. Dynamic and full of character. Absolute must buy for me. UtariOnzo
The hammer makes sense when you think of blacksmithing hammers, it matches the design of double headed rounding hammers, perfect for an artisan smith. I’ll admit, after the Dark Angels Lieutenant this is my favourite primaris sculpt Edited September 18, 2019 by UtariOnzo Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/358539-new-model-thoughts/#findComment-5392099 Share on other sites
Ishagu
Fantastic looking model, easily one of the best looking Astartes characters - not just Primaris. I mentioned in another topic that Vulcan already looked really good. This guy goes beyond that! BLACK BLΠFLY
My sticking issue (other than my dislike for round head hammers) is the Darth Vader mask. Adrax Agatone
The brazier first reminded me of the DA for some reason, but it is giving off a Greek fire vibe to me. I may need to get a few to see how a few snips here and there would make it look. Another head option is always nice, but I don't think it will be that easy. It is a powerful looking model. Yes, I may be biased. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/358539-new-model-thoughts/#findComment-5392232 Share on other sites
Medicinal Carrots
I think it's the first Primaris design I've really liked. The rest I've, at best, found serviceable. He also makes me excited to see if the upgrade kit will bring some lesser but similar awesome. SirVulkan
He looks great, and his rules are great too. Id have no problems taking him in my list and making him my warlord for flamer hit rerolls and bonuses to melee attacks. He is a beat stick and reasonably priced at 140 points. Unlike that Iron Father who is woefully under costed. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/358539-new-model-thoughts/#findComment-5392637 Share on other sites
Irbis
Great pose, great modifications to the armor (mainly kneepads) But it's not really a modification? You can get pretty much identical result by filling bottom of standard kneepad with GS... I'm really not keen on the sloped base. Remove it, and he's aiming down. So? Primaris need to aim down anyway 95% of the time Dumah 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/358539-new-model-thoughts/#findComment-5397319 Share on other sites
