Ciler Posted September 22, 2019 Share Posted September 22, 2019 One hypothesis is that LotD are a lost chapter, the flame falcons, so an old banner could be a nice objective. It's easy enough to make if you have old SM sprues with back banners. Specifically there is talk about them being "imperial daemons" in that they are manifested from the emperor's will in the imeaterium from the souls of dead heroes of the space marines.
