++ NightWatch WIP Again ++

So another update finally!

Been fairly busy with work and sign off, but have managed to have a few decent painting sessions when I can, so this is how my current project is looking so far with some WIP shots as I go.

So here are the legs I've been working on, still a little bit more to go, need some more source highlights and shading, but can't really do much until he's on the base and I know exactly where the light comes from for the angles.

Work on the face/head. Got some new paints for Christmas so wanted to try them out, I do like the fleshy colour even if my sculpting isn't up to par yet, but I did my best with him.

Some work on the chest, again need to do the highlights and shadows a bit more once he's on the base looking all proud. Also the base tones for the NMM and what not. Just to start him off.

Finally gluing him together, Kind of an exciting but also depressing time, because I know he's going to cover up some of the hard work on the base. But ah well. There are photos of the hard work at least.

Here he is so far, NMM on the chains is looking good, and some Gold NMM as well, Still need to do more highlighting and shading on the main body, but I am happy with the progress so far, and need to make the repairs/damage look a little more realistic, but otherwise it's a good start I thinks.

Just thought I'd post a little update of the Project so far. Done a bit of freehand, Although it's getting better, it's not perfect yet, but am happy that it IS getting better the more I do, The heat here doesn't help when the paint dries before you can do much of anything. So I am looking forward to winter.

So we have the cape itself. Was REALLY happy with how smooth the transitions between the light and dark areas became. So was super happy with that. The fist is..... Well it's alright from a distance hahahaha.

And this is a shot of before I started the highlights and the shield arm/Shield added on.

So in the dry fit stage, and for my own ease, I looked at the Gravis shoulders and they are just so massive with the extra bits I felt it looked kinda too bulky with the shield, and it wouldn't fit nicely with it on, So I went with the older Terminator shoulder on that side, means the shield was a little closer to the figure and just looked a little nicer. The right arm will still have the bigger shoulder pad as per normal which I think would make sense.

Anyway so this is him thus far:

So have been doing alot of painting, but not alot of Posting, so apologies for that! Here is a Mass update of some work I've been doing thus far.

Had a little Comp when Covid hit, was a month to do a piece, Was fairly happy with this guy, and got into the finals, but I think I needed to do.... well a more exciting model to say the least. Was just a bit too plain compared to the others.

The WIP shot and some nicer photos, Fairly happy, I ended up adding a little more scraps and scratches, but Overall I was fairly happy with him.

Then I was inspired to do some more work on this guy, the Terminator hero, Was a bit of fun there, friend of mine was nice enough to give him to me so I could make that Lysander from the earlier posts.

After finishing this guy I decided to look into using my Airbrush a fair bit more, so I did my last Terminator with the Airbrush and compared the results, still a fair bit to learn but getting better.

Comparisons:

Fairly subtle, but made it SO much faster, but certainly made painting it more enjoyable.

LASTLY! This is the Hero Sergeant for my Tactical squad. Again used the airbrush, and REALLY enjoyed the process, certainly faster and smoother but also really happy with how he finished up. And yeah, Wanted to do something a little different, so he has Red hair hahaha.

So there we have it!

Lots of painting, still LOTS to go through for this army alone before I start my new army. But certainly always enjoying it. Any C&C appreciated as always and hope you all enjoyed.
