She does, doesn't she! I think she gets away with the lack of height being a youngster and all!

 

I'm not overly convinced on the colour scheme for Betti to be honest but I figured I could get away with a bit of an out there scheme with her being a bounty hunter. I may go back and neaten her up at some stage and put some contrasts in her mouth parts.

Big post (sorry). I've been busy trying to finish off a few projects ready to start a fresh in the new year (well kind of!!)

First up, the Lion. I've tried my hand at NMM. I kinda like the result but I'm aware there's a lot of improvement needed. Hopefully I'll get chance to practice some more in 2022.

I've also managed to get another 7 gangers done. I'm going to be trying to complete the gang next year. As always I've gone over board as I wanted gangers to represent all the cool stuff. Rule of cool applies here!!

And I thought I'd try my hand at the boxing day bash and managed to build and paint this guy in 24 hours

Excellent work on the Lion! I think you did a great job on the NMM paint job. For the helmet/head and sword options, did you just magnetize them so you could swap out whenever needed?

Thanks guys. The NMM I will definitely be trying again. I have some Praetors, companions & cenobium to do. I have prepped the swords already.

@Shovellovin, yes I have magnetised all that I could. Even the scabbards, they have 1mm magnets in.

As for what January had in store I thought new year new start! Well not really but I'm kinda giddy for the new Eldar releases coming and as luck would have it, Grot over at the 12 month hobby challange picked an Eldar vehicle for me to paint. I was going to go with the 30k DAs as mentioned above but really couldn't decide. The gods must have realised!! Anyway I've gone with 3 Wave Serpents for this month and just about got them in.

Next up I'm going to attempt a FW Avatar.

To be honest I'm a little apprehensive of painting it. Lots of blending to do which I'm not overly familiar with. So instead of cracking on I've procrastinated, but with some useful progress on another mini. I've had a wraithseer for a while and I wanted to model it kind of levitating/ landing. This is my initial mock up. There will be one foot on the ground with the end of the spear. The open hand will have some magic effect (once I work out how to model it anyway).

Progress as of last night. The red areas are blocked in.

And as of today. Red blended into black. Also did the face. Working on the blending of the red into the yellow next. Its kinda random doing reverse highlights.

The Avatar is done. Quite enjoyed this. I've tried following the citadel masterclass for gemstones but I don't think I've quite nailed the technique yet. I should have as there are 61 one this. It Just seems quite fiddly. Next up is some wraithguard.

Thanks for noticing the molten effect. Not sure if I properly executed it but at least it kinda looks like it is supposed to!

I've sacrificed posting to keep up with productivity. Since my last post I've completed the following. These have been part of my anger and arrogance vows as well as the trusty 12 month hobby event.

Wow, this has been a while. 

 

Best post up the finished Aeldari bits. These are likely in my Mymeara tread but thought I'd post here too as this is the main source of all my work so far.

Just a storm Eagle and fire raptor to go. Love these sculpts. Had to do a push fit mould for one of the cock pits.

A further update...... progress continues with the aircraft.

The modified Kastellan robot looks interesting ... I like the "crocodile" head
