Let's talk primaris wargear

Over here in the Ravenspire we got another version of the same bolt rifle that every Marine player already has dozens of spares of.....

 

....with feathers on it.

 

Is a lightning claw too much to ask? Since it's our signature melee weapon?

Yeah that stalker bolt rifle smelled suspiciously like, "It's 5pm on Friday, but I still haven't finished this Raven Guard sprue." Ctrl+C

 

 

I think there was a different plan. 

 

The codex itself, in the lore section, hints at Intercessor Sergeants carrying master crafted weaponry. Now, that can happen today but only by paying CP. I think the original plan was for that to be available to Intercessors baseline without paying CP - you just pay the points like the Characters would. The data sheet for Sergeant Jorvan really makes this fit as it originally stated an Intercessor Sergeant could take a master crafted version of those weapons. 

 

I think that was the original plan: Intercessor sergeants could take master crafted stalker or auto weapons by paying points, not CP, which is what the Iron Hands and Raven Guard sprues were based on. When the codex launched, this line was absent.

Those tacticool infiltrator bolters that ignore cover should be the bolter component of primaris combi weapons (melta,flamer,plasma,grav) IMO.

I would like to see a veteran intercessors box. A 5 man intercessor squad with slightly more elaborately decorated armour and bolters, a couple of chain swords, a power fist, a thunder hammer, a couple of power swords. Some pistol options maybe. A bunch of unique helmets. I'd buy it.

Wasn't necessary for my Raven Guard. I used Hellblaster bodies, which have the extra armor plate on the thighs. From there I just painted their arms white and gave them all beakies. I also went out of my way to make sure none of them were posed as generic bolter bros.

I think a single sprue with more weapon options and bling (like the old captain sprue) in the intercessor box would fit for a one-box-two-units approach here.

I don't like that only Sargents get power weapons/chainswords, but that's been my biggest complaint about space Marines in general.

Just that in my experience a special kit for Veteran Intercessors hasn't been necessary, especially with the upgrade sprues the First Founding Chapters have gotten.

 

I wouldn't complain if they made one, but I don't necessarily think it is needed.

 

I'd rather see other things first. Like a multi part Suppressor kit, for example.
