Smash Captain question?

When you guys say smash captain that's a watch captain with a thunder hammer and a jet  pack right? A guy on facebook was telling me its against the rules on Battlescribe for us. So it got me thinking, since I just recently made one I can always change him to just a regular marine with a jet pack and a 2hander. It says you can replace his weapons with any 2 weapons on the DW equipment list, and thunder hammer is on the list even though its a 2hander.

I think you're confusing the 'Thunder Hammer' and 'Heavy Thunder Hammer'.

The standard 'Thunder Hammer' is a one handed weapon that a captain can legally take from the DW Equipment List.

A 'Heavy Thunder Hammer' is a 2 handed weapon that can only be taken by Veterans and Vanguard Veterans.

Hope that helps

SB is another good option. If you want just a suicide SC dropping the SS makes him not only cheaper points wise but also CP wise because it’s only 2 CP to fight in death rather then 3 CP to fight twice.

Mine is TH/SS and I will often give him the beacon Angelis. I’ve been using him more for counter charging then DS tank/character hunting to good effect.

And yes, making him a BA smash captain is almost mandatory at this point lol.

And if you don't give him a Blood Angels pauldron, that's heresy. :biggrin.:

The jump packs I got from Ebay were actually blood angels so I did in fact give him a BA pauldron lol. I just had made  my captains before I really knew what was good to arm them with but from being around here more often I see we want them to be armed certain ways. I just need to snag a few more bodies and I can make some more models.

So I got some jump packs in the mail I made a few VV's but I also made a true smash captain now here it is. The shield is hard to see but it's a DW shield from shapeways.

Kolgrim: That stormshield look ace, where on shapeways did you find it? Its not pop goes the monkey.

Edit: ok found it, Ace minis, damn those shields are ace!

Nice work! What are the shield arms you've been using?

Just got back from out of town, but I was using pretty much not really fully extended arm would just cut it at the forearm and then just glue it to the shield part. There's a couple of decent ones I got from the Start Collecting DW box where I had left over arms I didn't use for the main guys I built.
