Xenith
Xenith, I don’t currently have OOE! What I do have is the left over claws from the Exocrine kit. I see some kitbashing in my near future. Perfect, I dont have the haruspex spares, I was going to make mine with the Tervigon spare claws after I made a Tyrannofex. I think the outsized claws will look ace as OOE - Think I seen some conversions using the stone crusher carnifex claws which were really well done. The Pounder
Thanks Xenith, hopefully it’ll look as cool as it does in my head!! I’m thinking massive claws and he should be spikier than the average Carnifex. I’ve already built his head in preparation! I’ve made an order for the next wave in the Swarm’s evolution, just have to wait for it to be delivered! The Pounder
My Tyranid order has arrived! I already had a Broodlord so decided to make myself a Lictor! I had bitz left over from my Tyranid Prime conversion so this conversion has been rattling around in my head for a while. The Pounder
I finished my Old One Eye conversion! I just love the Carnifex kit, it is so easy to model and has a lot of options considering the size of it. The claws were left over from the Exocrine kit, I think they're for the Haruspex (hope I got that right) The building took about 20 minutes which is something of a record for me! It usually takes me ages working on most GW and Forgeworld kits! I painted it in sub assemblies and built it at the end, definitely the right approach as it allowed me to get in at the underbelly. I learnt the hard way after fully assembling my last Carnifex. The Pounder
Thanks Mithrilforge! Glad you like the Nids. Sadly I’m not adding to them for a little while. I’m currently working on my brother’s Imperial Fist successors and my beloved Krieg! There’s only so many hours in a day! Thanks for the interest. The Pounder
Ok people, I have a pair of wings for an Hive Tyrant and a spare Trygon.. I’m thinking of combining the two to make a scary Winged Tyrant conversion! Question is, will it work? Or will the Trygon be too large? Another question, what’s the best Winged Tyrant load out? Help and advice will be appreciated. WarriorFish
I'm no expert, but I think you need to decide on the role. A winged Tyrant can easily support forward elements (synapse in particular) so maybe you want some shooting to further this support role and keep him safer. That said it is a shooting edition so maybe combat is the safer place to be and the Tyrant is decent in combat so it's a shame to miss out. I'm interested in hearing of load outs and experiences too :) The Pounder 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/360657-the-great-devourer-approaches/page/4/#findComment-5675333 Share on other sites

The Pounder
I don’t have the Sabres as I used them on my Swarmlord. I’m thinking of using the Fleshborer Hive from the Tyrannofex kit. They could double as Monstrous Scything Talons or any of the ranged Monstrous Bio-Cannons plus they look cool! I reckon with the Trygon body the size won’t be an issue. I’ll have to raid my bitz box to see what other options I have. Xenith
Yea man, it's a bunch of the coolest bits from different kits and works perfectly. Ages ago I had dreams of a 'snake' hive fleet, with most things on trygon or ravener-like bodies, this would have fit in perfectly! Brother Captain Vakarian
Rakarth flesh isn’t a surprise, but it’s amusing how well field grey works on the bugs.
