lol, I was not aware of that one, I definitely prefer the original MC model :biggrin.:

 

Anyway, back to serious stuff: wrecking ball, drill, ram, … all these special weapons would be cool. I'm pretty sure we'll see some of these in the future, especially if some fortifications are added to the scenery.

I did one conversion for an old beetleback while waiting for AT18 to be released. I used some electrical wire I had left from refurbishing my place and I added 4 blades from the old warriors of chaos plastic halberds (those from the 1990's). Like a swinging axe mace. I'll try to locate it and post a pic.

Weapon heads

Overall I'm interested in some minor Titan upgrades along the lines of the 30k/40k vehicle upgrades just to fill out points - quite a few lists I've built are short, but not by enough to add some knights/ meet the underdog requirement (adding Armiger banners might also work in this capacity).

Even if they weren't super powerful weapons, adding the option for more point-defence weapons on the Reaver & Warhound chassis in line with the Warlord/Warbringer would be nice - just allowing them to add the Ardex-Defensor Cannon rule for a couple of points could work.

I mean, I've already modelled some of them:

I'd be 110% in on a Reaver carapace plasma weapon. Doesn't have to be a blastgun, as that'd be a bit strong, but it's too cool to pass up.

The fact that Reaver carapace weapons are 360* arcs is something I've continued to undervalue.  I feel like that's a real bonus or maybe Warlord carapace weapons are overcosted.  

 

If they do add a new Epic/AT/AI crossover I think we're going to want antiaircraft weapons.

Anti-aircraft weapons for Titans is something I've been thinking about for a while - for the Reaver and Warlord, I think an additional missile type for the apoc missile launcher(s) would be cool - it'd split into multiple tracking sub-munitions mid-flight with the potential to take out an entire squadron. In addition, having an upgrade for the Reaver/Warlords' carapace vulcan megabolters that allowed them to track & engage aircraft would be neat.

Oddly enough, the thing I want most is Turbo Lasers for Reaver arms and for the Mega Bolters on the Arioch Claw to have rules.

 

Even if the latter is only for 2× Knight Equivalents.

Doesn't the Warbringer have 2 anti aircraft guns? Instead of calling it the Warbringer, they should have called it the Herald! ;)

Things I'd love to see, beyond what's already been suggested:

 

1) Harpoon Missiles - yeah ok, we have Ursus Claws now.  In lieu of that, Ursus Claws for Reaver & Warlord carapace mounts.  I'd *LOVE* to run a Warlord with an Arioch, a Sunfury, and a pair of Ursus Claws just for the sheer bowel-voiding terror that could cause.  Hooking someone, reeling them in, and punching them down would feel too cinematic not to be able to do!

 

2) Corvus Assault Pods - again, it would need to come with ways to improve a Warlord's ability to get into CQB, but the idea of cracking open a transport pod to disgorge Thallax or Terminators is too much fun!  Would be great for narrative battles too (escort missions, etc.)!

 

3) Honestly I'm surprised Forgeworld never did a Reaver-grade plasma cannon.  I suppose it'd be a bit of a challenge to differentiate it between the Sunfury and the Blastgun at this point, but there's ways to make it work (longer range/"rifling" with fewer shots?)

 

4) Neutron Laser arrays for Reavers & Warlords.  Possibly something with longer range than a Turbolaser, perhaps some accuracy benefits, but with the negative aspects of Maximal Fire baked into every shot.  Unnecessary?  Totally, but it could be fun to gamble with.  More rationale - I was thinking around ways to do "Contemptor Cortus-style" weapon options; what's out there that's experimental or temperamental and largely overlooked, but might be a fallback option for a Maniple that's been out on campaign a long time and is running low on refits?

 

5) Conversion Beamers - now, first things first, Acastus' version needs to get fixed before this is even remotely worth exploring, but a weapon that hits harder & is more accurate further away, but doesn't just simply throw out 5" blasts would make for an interesting choice for a Warlord arm.  Also would make a fun and fluffy siege weapon for a Warbringer.

 

6) Grav Bombards - Similar to Quake weapons, something that may not do a whole lot of damage, but bypasses shields and if it hits your target moves as if in Dangerous terrain the next turn, maybe give it higher strength against buildings and battlefield assets.  Yes, your opponent might easily avoid the damage, but if you caught their Warhound pack out in the open they'll be sitting ducks for a turn.

 

7) More of the Warlord's arsenal for Warbringers.  Yes, they're short-ranged, but both Macro Gatling Blasters & Sunfuries could make interesting weapon options for a Warbringer.  Think of it less like an artillery platform and more like an assault gun.

 

8) Magaera/Stryx loadouts for Questoris Knights, and Atrapos for Cerastus (yes, I know unofficial fan rules exist).  The thought of sending a Banner of lascutters chasing after someone's Warlord is wicked fun :)
