Hey guys, as someone who loves buying books and checking others' bookshelves/new books, I thought it would be nice if we had a place to share photos of our new BL/GW books and our bookshelves.

I purchased quite a lot of books in the past two weeks (being on lockdown doesn't help my wallet as I thought it would) so I'm going to slowly take photos of them all and post it here.

Here's one of the orders: Sepulturum and Anathemas. I'm almost done catching up on all WH Horror releases. Now I just need to read them...

Sepulturum, Anathemas

Hope you like this idea and more people are going to join.

I lost most of mine moving across country and lending them out... I dont have as many as I used to a few years ago but Ill see what I have laying about...

+++EDIT+++

I know my friend has got the First Heretic, Know no Fear, Mark of Calth, The Purge and the Word Bearers omnibus at his, and my missus has A Thousand Sons and the first Fabius novel at hers.

I'm glad people started/are about to their collections/new additions.

Due to moving a lot in the past few years I haven't set up my bookshelves and it might be a few more years before I do so. I just have a little "shrine".

For those asking how to upload pictures here. Go to your Profile (top left corner) - My Gallery. There you can upload photos and then add it to your post via "My Media" in post editor.

My latest haul, bois. I've read all of these titles (minus Valdor) before, but paperback is my preferred format. I bought Helsreach the day it was released about 10 years ago and I can't tell you how happy I am to have a brand-new copy of it once again! I think I've bought 2-3 grimy, backbroken, yellowed '''''new''''' copies on eBay over the years so voting last year and finally getting this is amazeballs. Yes, I know there's various editions of this and an omnibus but those things aren't my cup of tea. I'm hoping we can get Battle of the Fang next  Also my package shipped the day before the lockdown which was funky

The "Nice Shelf" - I don't go in for LEs, tempted though I have been. I am eternally grateful that my Master of Mankind, Prince of Crows, and Aurelian are signed.

And the rest of my collection, gaps ready for future releases.

I'm presently doing a bit of a clean at the moment, so it's a bit disorganized, but this is what 40K/General Wargaming case #1 looks like at time of writing, with spaces left for things I have presently on the way (Most of the Primarchs series, few Warhammer Horror, couple artbooks, et cetera.) Two deep, out of habit. I think that's most of my collection at the moment, but there's probably stuff in boxes (or among the bookshelves in the garage... you know Tai Lopez on Youtube? Think that except ten times more and a grimier carpet.) somewhere that I'm forgetting about.

Of these, I think the Warhammer Horror books are actually my favorites at present time -- hence why I've got several more on the way. Weirdly, I never really got into collecting the Horus Heresy novels, always been reliant on (what is admittedly) a fairly robust set of library systems here in the greater Seattle area. Might go back and start filling those in once this crisis passes.

Not a bookshelf, as they're currently split amongst several and mixed in with tons of non-40k stuff, but during my last move I decided to have a little fun and build a wall Dorn could be proud of.  Two years out of date but still decently impressive.

Do any of you collector types know anything about an edition of Lord of the Night with a white cover and the legion symbol? I swear I've seen pictures but can't find any information on it. If it exists I must track one down.

Yep.  That was the 2011 re-release of it.  I've never seen a physical one though.

I have one of those - it was a limited run of 'Print on Demand'. I seem to recall there being a contest to see what titles would get printed, and Lord of the Night was one of the winners. as @Jareddm points out, it was printed in 2011, and you can probably find one on a popular internet auction site. i don't think there's that much different about it, there's no additional short stories in there and the only other thing of note is a pencil drawing of a Night Lord inside the front cover.

As for the original post, I'll upload some pictures and post here.

EDIT - Here, I've taken some pics as 'proof'

So here's most* of my Bookshelf space:

med_gallery_26271_16234_1727520.jpeg

And for those wanting a little more detail:

Here are my Horus Heresy hardbacks. I don't have them all, I did want to replace all of my soft backs but I realised space was going to be an issue.

Here are the last couple in the HH series along with my limited edition novellas, and some other goodies.

gallery_26271_16234_1066550.jpeg

Here are the HH paperbacks (some are obscured by the Night Lords and Word Bearer trilogies), along with another shelf with LE collections and omnibuses.

gallery_26271_16234_1146730.jpeg

Bottom two shelves are gaming focussed, with most recent copies of codices and army books (+ specialist games) and FW HH and IA on the bottom shelf where the weight isn't too much of an issue.

On the other side, there is my Siege of Terra collection, along with some other Limited Edition super-boxes (Darkness in the Blood, and Spears of the Emperor), and some of the Space Marine Battles series.

gallery_26271_16234_453409.jpeg

And at the bottom of the shelf some more gaming focussed books, mainly rulebooks, campaign books, and SE codices.

And as a final point, two of my favourite author signings, both of which are A-D-B.

The first was back at a Horus Heresy Weekender at the Belfry, and I brought along my hardback copy of Betrayer - but without the dust jacket, because I always take off the jackets whenever I take them anywhere in case they get torn. Here's what I got in pencilled in my book:

med_gallery_26271_16234_1308417.jpeg

The second is at a Black Library Live event at Warhammer World, where I picked up a copy of Master of Mankind and it's associated art -print (which is framed and hanging on my bathroom wall should A-D-B be reading this). After going through my backlog of books, we got talking and came across the Bolter and Chainsword, to which Aaron's response on hearing I was a member was "Why didn't you say! Who are you on there?", and hearing my user handle was immediately "I know who you are!" (which some may say was a politeness, but I genuinely believe he knew who I was on here), and I got this in my copy of First Heretic:

* Not seen: The couple of crates that hold previous editions rulebooks, army books and codices. The various books that I have dotted around for casual reading / army building / gaming purposes.

Now that is much nicer than the cheesy original binding, I'll have to keep that eye out.

Also damn, nice collection.

Well, what with *everything* I’ve been in quite a slump, but this thread has lifted my spirits somewhat, seeing everyone’s lovely collections. Maybe a spot of good old-fashioned showing of will full restore my humours...

behold, once more, my bookcase of Heresy, new and updated:

And for those inclined, a closer look shelf-by-shelf. Marvel at my stealth copy of Corax! Peer at my second hand early books! Speculate which ones I listened to instead so only bought to pad out my shelves!

Finally, for now, by wowed by my tragic and extensive collection of books that have been barely read, let alone used in anger...

This is a brilliant thread, my appalling technical skills have allowed me (after hours of trying) to upload two photos of were I keep some books to my gallery but putting them in the thread has me completely flummoxed so far. Will attempt again soon.

I keep books in these two shelving. The first photo I’m allowed to keep nicer BL books! Limited Ed’s or nice runs. Photo from Christmas as it looks nicer!

Second photo is my man cave shelves. 99% BL, fantasy and sci-fi books, nice spines not required.

I'm glad people are liking the thread and posting their collections. Some of them are amazing and must have taken years to collect.

Here's my latest update. Finally caught up on all Horror books (currently reading Anathemas so it's not there). Technically, I'm still missing The Vampire Genevieve but that's just a reprint. Might eventually get it.

Eagle eyes there! My own holy grail was the Imperial Truth; the day the remainders went up on BL.com, my pay had been messed up that week and arrived late in the day, I had no funds in my account and I missed out on it at retail. I won’t say, largely because I’m too scared to remember, how much I ended up paying for it out of desperation on eBay...
