Just thought I'd share some WS stuff im working on.  White has proven be a difficult color for me with an airbrush.  I had a hard time building it up and choosing a proper base coat.  Overall I think these are decent but much less so than what I've managed with Raven Guard.  A reasonable start.  Apologies for awful photography... still havent made much progress in that department.

Excellent work on the Great Khan's Primaris sons.

Heh... those jump captains aren't primaris even though i made them look it.   Just regular captains using primaris bits.  GW sucks for not releasing primaris jump pack characters :(

Awesome work. Don't for a second think these don't look as good as mine.

Truthfully I've been thinking of diverting my attention to my Deathwatch because their rules are being updated (rather lethargically) but then I see your thread here and.... wow. It's some awesome work here. I love the basework too.

I think you know this is good stuff. That attention to detail, the scratches, highlighting. It's all great stuff.

Like Panzer said it's just a clean variant, whereas I really wanted to go with a group of White Scars that are really.. quite busy doing things in the dirt. Lol

For myself I had been doing super clean ultramarines, super clean armies like Thousand Sons... even my Deathguard were pretty darn clean.

I started experimenting with oils, and more oxidized metals, weathering with powders, isopropyl etc, etc and when I decided to start my White Scars I needed to reinvent my skill set a bit and liked the look and challenge of it all on White Scars.

That said I fully appreciate the beauty of what you've gone and done here. Don't sell yourself short. I love the stuff you've done here, and as mentioned it's further motivation for all of us. :tu:

I'm not being overly critical of my stuff.  It is pretty good but I need to improve.  I'd like to do weathering and battle damage on these guys but dont really want to risk ruining any of them.  I also would like to get better at taking photos but my camera is fairly old and the settings on it are pretty difficult to understand.

When my impulsors I ordered finally arrive I will attempt some battle damage.

Keep ’en coming and be proud of your warriors! The display skill with the brush! I really like the clean look!

Me in 2018:  "Airbrushing isn't really painting and practically cheating."

Me in 2020: "Haha! Airbrush goes brrrr."

Haha yes!

Me in 2019” no, I don’t need an airbrush, I paint fast and nice anyway.“

Me in 2020 airbrushing 10 times as many models which look better while damning myself for not starting with airbrush earlier”

Loving the red armor on the chappie. What made you go with that over the classic black?

I tried to come up with some fluff or logic reason but nothing really stuck.  Something something, blood armour, something something, scars... whatever.

The real reason is psychological. I just wanted to be different. ><
