BL's policy of "everything is canon and nothing is canon" is essentially a licence for authours to come up with their own interpretions

 

Indeed so, and is how we have 5 versions of certain Primarchs, leading to a far worse product than we could have had.

Indeed so, and is how we have 5 versions of certain Primarchs, leading to a far worse product than we could have had.

It also avoids the need for a story editor to keep the authors corralled. And it definitely thwarts the self-appointed loremasters among the readers and fans.
