Help needed, I need some inspiration to model a Bombardment Cannon (normally mounted on Space Marine Strike Cruisers and Battle Barges). I just have no clue what one would look like. Do you have any ideas or anything? Please share them here (pictures would be even better!).

Thanks in advance!

I had thought they were the big guns at the front of the Space Marine Battlebarge model:

If that's the case, then they're just enormous – even in the context of Battlefleet: Gothic's gloriously over-the-top aesthetic – traditional cannons. Bit straight tube that honks house-sized ordnance at the enemy.

With that said, I see no reason why there couldn't be multiple designs, in much the same way as there are multiple different patterns of heavy stubber (or so forth). Anything that could launch huge solid projectiles with the correct world-ending payload would then count.

I was pretty sure that the bombardment cannon is the heavy turret weapon visible on the front of the strike cruiser model here.

The same turrets are visible on the battle barge model, further back on the left and right 'cheeks'. The Battlefleet Gothic: Armada games also have those as the bombardment cannons. For what it's worth.

Rogue Trader RPG ships indicates that aestetic for Bombardment Cannon too.

This is the Intervention, a Castigator pattern Strike Cruiser in service at the Calixian Adeptus Arbites. Its weapons are two boards of Mezoa pattern Macrocannons (one on the starboard side, showed as 1 in the image and one on the port side, not shown on the image) and one Stygies pattern Bombardment Cannon on the prow position (2).
