Alright, I've been hooked in. I really like the idea of an elite dynasty, do people think the idea of a Phaeron on Command Barge, 30 immortals with Gauss and 10 lich guard with Voidblades and Shields between 2 Night Scythes, and 9 Heavy Destroyers with Gauss and a Lokhust Lord for heavy weaponry makes sense? My Dynasty will be Nephrekh Vassals with the +1 Strength within 12" Circumstance.

Seems like the glaives are better than sword and board, because the sword is only damage 1.

I'm one of those suckers waiting for the new box of Warriors and Skorp Destroyers, simply because I don't every 2-3 models being a duplicate. However if the sprues are just like the ones from Indomitus, then going for the Starter Sets is my purchase.

GW released new Bladeguard so I'm crossing those fingers.

Both the Warriors & Skorpekhs are identical to the ones you find in Indomitus. No multi-part kits coming. I guess, as a Xenos faction, this is the sacrifice they had to make to ensure Necron players received such a wide range of kits

Sadly, that's not possible - taking Vassal Kingdom prevents you selecting a Circumstance of Awakening.

If you're after the 6+ invulnerable you can take that on it's own as a Dynastic Tradition, but you'd lose the Translocation Beams and the Protocol of the Sudden Storm double-bonus.

Not sure how much leverage you'd get from 6" Advances that stop you shooting in such an elite, gun-heavy force, so it could work out well.

Myself, I'd be tempted to take Eternal Conquerors to get ObSec onto your Lychguard and Destroyers, not to mention the buff to your Immortals.

^ this. Especially knowing that most of the 40K factions money comes from SM. We should be super happy for

- having so many entries

- having so many NEW kits

- having a brand new codex full of nice things.

As a new necron player (with indomitus) I can't be happier!

On the dark side, it is unfortunate that many kits are out of stock (most of them being rule wise very interesting: wraith, stalkers, spiders, lord , cryptek , etc...). In fact, my purse will thank this situation.

First up, the ubiquitous and versatile Necron Warriors, previously only available in the Indomitus box and the various Starter Sets, will soon be released on their own to bolster your ranks of implacable murder androids. Each box contains 10 warriors and three swarms of Scarabs.

Just look at the pictures: both the images of the Skorpekh & the Warriors are identical to the ones in Indomitus. There's 0 chance at all of there being new sprues

Am I the only person who thought the doom stalker and reanimator were based on the same model? I converted a doom stalker with a spare gun and now I’m scratching my head.

Hum I was also sure they were based on the same model, and was planning on doing the same conversion. Seems unlikely now based on your picture, but I don't expect to play the reanimator so I'll definitely convert it nonetheless.

Event if I planned to do the same conversion from reanimator, I am glad to see this really majestic and bigger doomstalker, a scary piece of artillery. Ordered 2 day one. Not impressed by the destroyer (ordered 0).

I'll resell my 3rd reanimator (because the other 2 look great on the table and even greater with their upcoming big brother).

It was shown with Ophydian Destroyers, so I guess it'll probably be packaged with them

Ah cool, thanks. But yeah you can already be 100% sure that we aren't getting any new Skorpekh/Warrior models.

I "found" some images of the codex online and one nice thing now is the points list has the page numbers for their unit entries and they also added wargear cost under each entry.

Also didn't realize the actual doomstalker is easy-to-build. *edit the new destroyer is push fit too, what the hell???

I never paid attention to that line, it's also interesting that *gasp* I think the price point is lower than it would've been multiposed.  I wonder why the Doomstalker and reanimator share the same silhouette but are wildly different sizes.

Because one is (almost) useless and the other one is best of the best :teehee:

On the issue of duplicates, the warriors are done pretty well I’d say. I have a total of 3 sets of indomitus warriors and it’s hard to tell that they are the same few models. Maybe with some paint it’s different? But the main issue I’m are the skorpek, their pose gets old fast lol
