GW does not have anything primaris specific to sell BT players.

what?

this release is more Black Templar then anything else

btw... I wrote GW again. But this time it was a thank you.

I wrote them how well those things feel and that the new Primaris range is wonderful.

GW really just posted an IH bladeguard as their example black scheme.

(ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻

tactless, but I'd like to see him regardless, as he's a black bladeguard. Where can I find the image?

EDIT nevermind, found it.

Yeah, the asthetic of the Bladeguard doesn't realy fit the IH look much. Regardless, I can still visualize in my head from this.

EDIT2: I do like how the metal grill looks on top of the black though. since the grill is layered on top of the regular helm armor, it feels less like he has meaty lower face, when its split like that

community page. He looks very good.

Imho.

We should them heard how many Black Templars are watching these new releases, how many will paint these Blade guards black with a Maltese Cross on them, how many don't care about Iron hands, or Ultrasmurves.

I disagree medj. This is a vanilla release, with a new look for vanilla marines, they just happen to share some similarities to the BT look.

Still some official artwork or painted miniature for BT would be nice.

Currently silver Templars have more official Primaris Artwork than BT, and its pretty damn good artwork aswell.

I'm glad to see some positivity here; as someone who previously ignored most primaris relases (only the intercessors really appeal) I have been surprised at the return to a more gothic styled marine. Although I have plenty to work on with my crusade already, I suspect that future purchases will include some of these new Primaris - mainly because they look like they will be a joy to build, Templarify, and paint.

I suppose my only concern is that our Black Templar aesthetic has been taken as a now generic element for all Primaris forces... whereas before our particular stylings were only really mirrored in certain Dark Angel units. On the one hand, I have a bunch of new kits that will make excellent Black Templars, but on the other, maybe they'll be a little less special when everyone is rocking sword/board/tabard marines?

Time will tell, but my crusade is eternal.

thats not correct. There is more official BT artwork. Look into the books .

there are a few (but honestly propably more selfmade)

I can think of one? In the main rule book, and it's not great. It's the one with the sword brother and the bloodletter, where the sword arm looks weirdly small.

neophytes don't need same rules as reivers, different role altogether if that's what you meant.

I was being facetious about how bad Reivers are for a supposed dedicated close combat unit.

What about mixed Neophtye and Intercessor squads? Could be interesting. Have the Neos take the hit on high AP Damage 2 weaponry hehe.

Primaris crusader squads would be an eternal want from me, but my OCD can't see the current neo models or any firstborn crammed in with primaris.

Instead how about a strat that lets our crusader squads move an extra +1" for every wound lost last round

They showed off a Templar Bladeguard at the end of today's painting stream. Might be worth a glance and discussion for those of us who can see it. Was hoping for Ork rules, but eh. BT recognition is never a bad thing.

The way they were talking about it also made it seem as if they were directly responding to the community's presence, so that was sort of interesting.

Yes I agree they would look too silly with the current Scout models. And I'm not sure mixed Intercessors and Phobos would work either, has to be a new, Primaris Scout of some kind.

Sorry brother, but I'm a blind dude. Pictures aren't my thing. Should be within the last 5ish minutes of the stream though if someone else is able to grab it for you. I'm interested to hear what the community thinks about it, not being capable of judging myself.
