ranulf the revenant
Hello folks, yesterday I bought a bottle of Vallejo Matt Medium, expecting the usual Vallejo quality - I never had any problems with their stuff - but then I put it on my pallette, it looked weird. Instead of being a homogenous liquid, this stuff was more lumpy. It also didn't flow from the bottle as expected. I shook the bottle a bit ( I didn't think this would be necessary, as it's just Medium). Still the same. I later added a metal agitator, shook the bottle like crazy, but still not much of a difference. I ended up not really using it, as having weird little lumps in your paint doesn't seem to be a good idea. Is this normal 0_0? Did I buy a bad batch? Bung
To be honest in my experience the Vallejo auxillary products Like that Matt Medium are not as good as other stuff. Better get some stuff from Artist Brands Like Golden, Liquitex, Schminke just to name a few. Or hit the whole miniatures with Matt Varnish. Firedrake Cordova
That sounds abnormal. The Vallejo mediums (thinner, glaze) will settle a bit and benefit from agitation, but you shouldn't be getting lumps coming out. Better get some stuff from Artist Brands Like Golden, Liquitex, Schminke just to name a few. Vallejo were an artist brand before they made model paints. ;) Edited June 14, 2020 by Firedrake Cordova Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364474-valllejo-matt-medium-acting-weird/#findComment-5540647 Share on other sites
