HolyChicken
heysa All, Kinda new to this, but looking for a procrastination project for my growing admech force. Thinking of doing a drukhari army, but would love to mix in some craftworld, is this still possible? .. Will it "just" cost 3 cp to include it? Or will I loose some rules if my army is not pure drukhari or pure craftworld, or is that only space marines that, and their doctrines. Is it even viable to run mixed Aeldari? .. even at lower points levels, like 1000 points? .. thanks all :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366233-mixing-aeldari-detachments/ Share on other sites
Karhedron
At the moment it is feasible to mix Eldar factions provided you pay the appropriate CPs. At lower point levels, you may find Patrols more manageable. Dark Eldar probably have better Troops but Craftworlders bring some good Heavies and Psyker HQs are great. As of the start of 9th, several units from both Craftworld and Dark Eldar ranges seem rather overpriced but I am sure it is possible to put together some competitive builds. Are there any units in particular you are looking to run? HolyChicken
As of the start of 9th, several units from both Craftworld and Dark Eldar ranges seem rather overpriced but I am sure it is possible to put together some competitive builds. Are there any units in particular you are looking to run? I was thinking 2 patrols, so it would only cost 2 cp. But was looking to maybe mix some wraith in with either a coven or cult drukhari patrol - And the added psyker from craftworld seems nice. Karhedron
That sounds like a solid approach. Wraiths in a Wave Serpent could be a good way to take and hold Objectives outside your deployment zone. Wracks are not a powerhouse unit but they are T4 Troops with a 5++ (or 4++ if you take Prophets of the Flesh) and durable units with ObjSec seem to be the new black in 9th editoin. Spiritseers would be fluffy with the above and a Farseer is usually good value for money (although Dark Eldar will not be able to benefit from Guide or Doom which are 2 very popular Farseer powers).
