Great stuff here, the de-Nemesified Warbringer is a pretty fun idea and the up-armoured carapace works well. I'd probably have went for a bit more closed form, akin to a Warlord's, as the large open shoulders don't really need to exist if there's no artillery deck on it, but it's still very nice work.

Warhammer world was good! Food was decent (but I remember the Fat bloke burger being better!). the board was a bit 'meh' to be honest. I had asked for a Titanicus board and they said they'd sort one out for us but it was just regular 40k Terrain which wasn't great. But the game was still good.

 

There's loads I could have and should have done with the Warbringer :D. The shoulders really aren't my favourite part but I was trying to work with what I had. It should have more Warlord like armour plates and so forth but the thought of Scratch building those out of plasticard just hurt my brain. Lazy I know....

 

One day GW or FW will release a basic Warbringer anyway.......... maybe. Hopefully.

I hope they do; I think your conversion is a great idea and it definitely adds something to the range in a spot where there isn't something at the moment. I also like the idea that it has no cc weapons, perhaps explaining why it was never as numerous as the Warlord or Reaver classes and why the Nemesis pattern may have been considered more viable.

Thanks mate. I'm not quite sure on the Warbringers background to be honest. I have no idea if it was created before or after the Warlord. It makes sense to me that they came before and were a test bed for the Warlord but they never really were much more than that so were superseded by the Warlord. I quite like the Warbringer chassis but not the carapace mounted weapon. I'd much rather have a mid tier brawler like a basic Warbringer over a warlord.

 

Alas, until GW pulls it's finger out we're all resorting to wish listing lol.

Been a while since I did anything Titanicus but I have just started my second Warlord for the 'White Legio'. Black Skeleton is done. Working on the white Panels now.

Been tinkering on many things in the long dusty silence but haven't really finished anything worthy of photo's. Until now!!

I've gotten a bit bored of Heresy so have gone back to some good old Titanicius. Because who doesn't love (mini) Giant Death Machines!!

Got some the vast majority of my Warlord done. The white, gold and metal work are all done now. That just leaves the details, decals and the base! Weapons will come later as I have a butt load to do for him.

Also managed to get some shiny new guns for the old girl in my other Legio. 

....and started work on some new Titans!! Blurry photo but you get the idea. More Dirty ramshackle titans :D

Last, but by no means least! My printer has been on overdrive printing some Grim Dark Terrain. I painted all the walls in one night for a game last weekend so they still need a lot of work doing to them such as the windows, doorways and maybe some little flags here n there.

Wanted to give my Warlord a spin to use it's fancy new Carapace Weapons and true to form they were blown off it after firing once. Not to worry though because the old girl managed to put her Chainfist through two Reavers whilst taking fire from just about everything AND managed to survive the whole game. First time shes done that! So obviously she was happy with the new Wargear ;)

The chainfist on the Warlord is lovely - where is that from? What rules do you use?

 

And the pose on that White Warlord, so perfect the way the weight looks like it’s shifting side-to-side. Really superb attention to detail taking these models to the next level.

The Chainfist is a 3d Print. It's a free download here https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/game/wl-chainfist as for rules I just use the rules for a power fist. Although my Warlord is part of a Ferrox Maniple so she's rocking str13 and hitting on 2's in combat. Not that she often gets into combat mind.

 

As for the pose. Thanks! It's my favourite so far so I appreciate that.

Walls are done!! I added some dust to the bottom of the walls to help blend them into the board and done the doorways and the windows. My son wanted them to be red as he thought it looked like an evil castle and evil castles always have red windows...... so they're red.

Not much to update on as I've been working an awful lot (no change there) and this week is an utter write off as I'm doing 80+hrs this week. But I have next week off so planning to get those Warhounds for Legio Cariossus done (if you remember me posting about them about 2 months ago lol).

Finally managed to finish off the next two 'hounds for my Legio Cariossus. I still need to do the Reaver and the absolute MOUNTAIN of Forge World weaponry for my White Legio. Next week I'll make a start on them. Maybe.

 

 

Also managed to get distracted by some 3D printed titans. I printed the Warhounds off a year or so ago for a mate who then decided he didn't want them. Then recently I found a Lucius Reaver file and I caved. I wont be spending much time on them as they are just a distraction of a distraction and, to be honest, I don;t actually like the models that much but, hey, its nice to have some variation.

 

The finished but not based Reaver. Any ideas on a Base scheme?

Well I'm done with the distraction of the distraction now. The Lucius Titans are finished. I do quite like them and the scheme but I doubt I'll do anything else for them. Maybe some retro knights or something? Who knows!!! Happy for ideas though..... I do have a Lucius style Imperator.... Just saying.

So I got a little distracted.......

 

Warmaster for my Lucius titans. Cobbled together from several different kits but mainly an Emperor Titan reduced to 75%. Stands a smidgen over a normal Warmaster but not by much. A mishap when printing the right shoulder led to some hasty battle damage to save the print. Came out OK I think!

The big guy is finished! The paint job is quick and no bother. I think I spent more time n effort painting the guardsmen on his feet!! Those things are tiny and not lacking in any detail!

I managed to get a 2500pt game in yesterday with these guys which was an absolute slug fest. We tried out some of the fancy new weapons (Beamers, Grav and Volkites) which I hadn't used or seen in the games. The Warmaster was a bit underwhelming I thought and didn't actually claim any kills (more to my rolling I think) but he took an absolute pounding all game but would just not seem to die.

I finally printed my next big, and I mean BIG, scenery project. On to painting now I guess! What colour shall this beast be? And, yes, of course I'll be printing a space port to fit it on. Why wouldn't I be? :D

Lovely transport. I'm not really sure what colours it should be. Could you come up with some sort of heraldry for whoever owns the thing? If it belongs to your legion or knights then theirs, but if it's a trade vessel then you could go for almost anything.

 

Personally I haven't played a lot of AT lately I'm sorry to say. I've got some of the new conversion beamers I'm keen to try but life (and various other games) are getting in the way.

Well, I've considered painting it up in my BFG fleet colours. So either Grey with Purple prows or the classic Gothic green and white scheme. I had a fleet of escorts that were all painted in a dirty yellow scheme but I'm loathe to paint something so big in yellow (and here's me looking at doing Imperial fists). I'm leaning towards the Green and White of the Gothic sector as it's 1) easy to do and 2) should look fairly striking.  However, this is all set in the Heresy so it could be painted in god knows what scheme. 

 

I'm very much the same to be honest. Most of my gaming group have been distracted by Heresy so they're all into that. I have done a World Eaters force to join in and stop them complaining but they're nothing fancy.

 

I have tried the smaller Beamers on a Warhound. They were pretty cool. Two str9 shots with no drawbacks is pretty nice. I'm not sure they'll replace my Plasma blast guns but I'm happy to have one of each between my 2 hounds. A mate of mine used a Warlord with a Beamer and that was quite unfriendly in an Extergimus Maniple. Two str16 shots a turn was making my Warmaster wince every time lol.

Those Lucius Titans are great, @Lord_Borak! The classic colour scheme works so great on them. Nice job also on the rescaled Warmaster.

 

Where's the file for that lander from? I guess it would fit well with your Titans in a classic cothic scheme, but if you'd rather do something different that sure will look fine as well. A dirty, utalitarian yellow should be cool. The model should take well to contrast paints and washes, I guess?

 

By all means, do the space Port!

 

It's indeed very quiet here. My excuses are family, job and, most of all, an old hause we just bought. I hope to get my new mancave established and a little hobby time back in summer. Haven't played or painted since winter...

Thanks man! I do have a fond spot for Lucius style Warlords. Not so much the rest of the Titans that Gw produced (looking at you Reaver). 

 

The Lander is from Cults3D. Look for Bishok (creator). It's a free download. I've gone for a Dark blue with White Prow and wing/armour bits. I'll hopefully have some worthwhile pictures in the next few days. It's an old Gothic scheme that I did that, alas, I now no longer have. So it's in honour of them. 

 

I remember those days!! Packing everything up and working from a shelf instead of a hobby room!! Luckily that was almost a decade ago!! Hopefully it wont be too much longer?
