What started out as a random kitbash and basing idea, then became a colour scheme test for my Necromunda Slave Ogryns has turned out to be a pretty decent foray into Inq28.

So, here is "Ghost", a Savlar Chem Dog Veteran.

Great detailed painting in such a small model. His mask/face paint is excellent; and REALLY dig the attention to his base looking like hive sink toxic waste where a Chem Dog would be deployed and excel. An entire army with bases like that would be sweet! (Is it Nurgles Rot you used for that effect?)

I did use Nurgle's Rot. In fact...

- Spray Black.

- Stipple/Drybrush with Stegadon Scale Green, then Dark Reaper, then Stormvermin Fur.

- Wash with Nuln Oil Gloss.

- Patchy wash with Typhus Corrosion.

- Minimal edge highlight on the raised edges with Mechanicus Standard Grey.

- 2 layers of Nurgle's Rot, building up the colour towards the edges of the toxic sludge. The first layer also involved a little stippling onto the larger areas to create a slightly mottled effect.

- A good thick layer of gloss varnish applied over the areas of toxic sludge.

- Rim re-painted with Abaddon Black.

Really quick and easy.
