Favourite bit of recent (8th/9th) Salamanders Lore

Decided to start this topic to see what people had run into that became a favourite recent bit of lore after re-reading the Salamanders Supplement.

 

Which had my absolute favourite bit of lore from the recent editions where it told the story of how a Salmanders Captain had actually terrified Death Korps of Krieg officers into following Salamanders strategic orders following an artillery strike they did on a hab complex the Salamanders were in the process of clearing. After ignoring all Salamanders attempts to limit the damage to civilian lives and infrastructure all campaign to that point.

 

The image of an...annoyed, shall we say, Salamanders Captain, who have a reputation for being considerate to allies, putting sheer terror into Death Korps officers was just too good for me.

Well, there isn't THAT much new lore in 8th and 9th, sadly...

 

Most 'modern' lore is from the Kyme novels. But one of my favorite pieces is similar to the Krieg thing, where Tu'Shan bitch slapped the Marines Malevolent captain Vinyar for similar reasons.

 

Also everything about Sol Ba'Ken, Captain of the 7th. I love this dude.
