WrathOfTheLion
Hello all, WIth 9E in and the new Codex, starting some new projects, including some Lamenters and now some Novamarines. Going to be working on getting at least a combat patrol at first. Starting with a Primaris Lieutenant. This one is a quite simple model without too much ornamentation, so a good one to practice the quartered scheme on. Not certain if I should do standard codex style helmet markings on novamarines, I think I will to change them up some. WrathOfTheLion
Since the novamarines have bone white, I do the deathwing white scheme. I prime in wraithbone spray or vallejo desert tan with an airbrush to get a beige prime, then I basecoat with ushabti bone. Then do a recess shade of seraphim sepia and a highlight of screaming skull. For the blue, I undercoat using black paint first, in this case vallejo model color black. If you airbrush ushabti bone on the primer, I would always give it a thin coat with a brush. The coverage always pops a bit more with brush paint, been quite noticeable with that one.
